Anyone have thoughts on this? Personally I'm really pleased.

Pleased???? I'm friggin' thrilled. Ridiculous how our good senators tried to rush this piece of crap through with 80% of Americans against it.

easy fix to the problem...

build a staute of liberty in Mexico... make all the tunnels wind up there... thinking that the mexicans crossed over to new york.. then process em, make them pay some money, give em a 6 month temp visa and by that time, if they dont proceed with citizensship, fine em each month that no action is done. BTW, stop making pregnant women who are illegals with baby on the way citizens---Canada stopped it a few years ago.. It can be done here...

I'm all for closing the borders....and I'm for sending everyone who is here illegally, home.

And please don't start with the whole, 'Everyone is here illegally, only the Native Americans are here legally'.

Illegal Aliens have, and are bringing this country down. Close the borders, NO EXCEPTIONS.

I cringe everytime I look at my neighbors Lexus.

Oh, and another thing....I used to be a casual carrier for the USPS for a couple of years. Used to deliver in a really BAD area of Providence, RI, called 'Olneyville'. There were a couple of houses(apartments) that used to get 5 or 6 checks on the 1st and 15th. Some of these people used to FOLLOW me all day because they couldn't wait for their check. Roll that around on your tongue for awhile: FIVE or SIX checks. These people lived in the dregs, but drove Acuras, Infinitis, and Lexuses(sp)....and don't lift a finger for those checks. And EVERY person is a foreigner.

Close the borders!

Actually, Bush hasn't lost his mind. I don't agree with him, but he's only trying to broaden the tax and voting bases for the REPUKES! Imagine if this passed while a REPUKE was in office? They'd get the alien vote for decades....Smart for the party, bad for america.

Unfortunately, the only reason they voted it down on cloture was because people like us barraged them with phone calls, emails, and faxes. We shut down their phone system, for crying out loud.

Of course, now the ones who wanted to pass the bill are blaming its defeat on talk radio.

I hate politicians, they lie when the truth sounds better.
I like to sit out on the front porch, where the birds can see me, eating a plate of scrambled eggs, just so they know what I'm capable of.
