Isn't the diaphragm still slightly used while singing in head voice, as opposed to falsetto where it's not used at all, hence the complete lack of power and loss of the richer tone in that register.

Well you have to push air to even sing in falsetto, so the diaphragm is used to whatever extent to push that air.
Don't get me wrong, I think Hugo is a great singer when I listen to him singing with Valentine.

How about this:Món wrote:Are you sure it isn't because he isn't a FEMALE?
'Cause you seem too demanding and yet give your full support to a sub par female singer in a band.
or this:Món wrote:I think you OVER criticize too much.
JR (Susie) wrote:Món wrote:JR (Susie) wrote:Read it again. I critiqued ALL 3 of his songs u posted & I said that most people should NEVER try Mother, Father. I also gave him MAJOR kudos for trying it.
No, you didn't.
Here's verbatim what I said:JR (Susie) wrote:I give him MAJOR kudos for trying.
What does that say?
JR (Susie) wrote:Món wrote:Are you married?![]()
Yes. What does that have to do w/anything?
JR (Susie) wrote:Món wrote:Please DO tell, Mr. Azoff.
Have u read Marcel's blog? & don't lump me w/that asshole.
JR (Susie) wrote:Món wrote:I'm sorry about your health problems (which I obviously didn't know, BTW).
Totally tactless thing to say to a woman then isnt it? U never know who has health problems u might touch on. But u cant even admit that of course.
JR (Susie) wrote:Món wrote:You're better with insults, tho. I have to give you that.
I'm not going to make any effort in choosing mine when I'm being attacked in the first place, tho.:
I have neither attacked nor insulted u once in this thread. Not once. However, u have done a fine job of both to me.
If saying ur a BTer is an insult to u then wear it. U stated u were one. I would never have known otherwise.
JR (Susie) wrote:ALL I did was give my constructive criticism of the guy singing. U put him up here, say he should be Journey's next lead singer, then u can't take the fact that someone has some constructive critism of him & doesnt agree w/u that he's fucking PERFECT. WTF.

Agreed. He's creeps me out singing Journey music.

Here is a big ole' fucking news flash for you.
There is plenty happening in the world right now that can make any intelligent woman pissy.
When a strong woman stands up for what she believes (and it does not include kissing your ass) some people always say "must be that time of the month"
When a man speaks out, he gets "yo bro - tell it like it is" "I got your back" "chillin' a cold one for you"
Stop it.

Are you comparing this guy Marcel to Brian May?
Sorry, lady. The sick-o-meter points other way than mine.
JR (Susie) wrote:
No I'm not comparing Marcel to Brian. Just suggesting u read Marcel's blog. One is a bass player, the other a guitar player. Why would u even ask that?
JR (Susie) wrote:Sorry but ur comment about "time of the month" points sicko right in ur face. As Brian May said "own ur own poo".
Món wrote:I was talking about "fame" levels, but that obviously went over your head.![]()
Now, is this guy Marcel an authority big enough to tell what's REALLY going on, or just another opinion?
Món wrote:Whatever. Nice and smart way to dust that "ignorant" and "stupid" chip off your shoulder.
JR (Susie) wrote:Fame level? No they dont have the same fame level internationally. The reason that "went over my head" was b/c it wasnt clear in ur post. Sorry I dont read minds, just words.

Wrong. look it up. If you're talking 'bout the "time of the month" thing, of course.
I don't usually start shit. I REACT to it.

U look it up. I called u ignorant AFTER ur "time of the month" thing. I referred to u saying I should audition for Journey as a "stupid comeback" before that, yes. But it WAS a stupid comeback. I didnt call u stupid. Just ur comeback.
Món wrote:JR (Susie) wrote:
U put him up for Journey & stated ur opinion. Why is is "over-criticizing" for me to state mine? Kinda unfair of u isnt it? He's not perfect I'm sure he'd admit that. I dont know why I bother when there are ignorant people like u who think it's ok for u to give ur opinion, but that's the ONLY opinion allowed. Next time be sure to say that NO opinions other than urs are allowed in ur thread & good luck w/that, ok!
I already said I wouldn't even attempt to sing Journey songs. What a stupid comeback!
If your opinion is that he's not right for the band, that's OK.
You took the guy's performance on a VERY difficult song (that your average Joe would NEVER sing like this) and tore it apart. The guy's not perfect by any means, but he's VERY GOOD.
If you think that chick's performance is better than his, that's YOUR opinion (which I DO NOT share). Besides, SW is a walk in the park, compared to MF. But I guess you already knew that, having perfect pitch.
The origin of this thread is giving another option for the band. And yes, I do think this guy could do the job, with proper training and such.
Must be that time of the month for you.
JR (Susie) wrote:Now please stop this. If ur singer reads this, he will be embarassed to have u as a fan.

You fucked up. Pure and simple. Do you want me to look up the definition for "uptight" and "know-it-all"?
Funny that you're the only one saying that about "my singer". He's no longer the issue here, so lose your grip already.
Burn some more.
