Brian, in case you didn't notice, the poll is not about who should be the next singer for Journey out of the guys listed. Just who is the best singer out of those choices.

Since "NONE" wasn't one of the options, I guess I can't vote in this poll.

Hugo and EVOLUTION is , NO QUESTION, the best Journey experience in the country, as stated by music industry big shots.
"AND THAT IS A FACT"
Just thought I would let the 20 or 30 people on this board know that.

Give me a break, Brian. Just admit you were wrong and move on with life. It has nothing to do with if any of those listed are going to be Journey's next singer. I would prefer they got someone with no connection at all to the band OR get Perry back, if possible.

Lights hasn't been around as long, so not enough people know them like Jeremy. Plus, their recordings aren't the greatest so it's a little harder to hear. I think anyone who can do Steve Perry vocals for a couple hours straight is to be commended. The man himself can't even do it anymore. I haven't heard Jeremey live but he sounds good from what I can hear. Juan I have heard live and he is ALL voice, those who have heard Juan know. I believe this poll is more about who you've seen/heard/ or know from these boards.

Like I said...it's not easy to sing Perry in the first place. All of these people should be commended.

I really need to get the other songs from my demo uploaded so I can be included in this list....

Should have them tonight... Just moved into a new house in a new subdivision and don't have internet at home currently... :(

I guess I'm gonna have to raid a family member or friend's place this weekend so I can upload my songs... :)

Ummm...no they're not. Youtube him singing DSB and post it here. It's TERRIBLE. He has no power, his voice is thin and he's creepy to look at. Frontiers plays Perry era Journey while Evolution tries to replicate the entire act. Big difference. While Frontiers IS a tribute band, their muisc has some sincerity to it. Jeremey sings the songs to suit his voice. At times he's a dead ringer for Perry, at other times he's not. Evolution is a bunch of guys trying to replicate a Journey gig to the letter. I find that fraudulent and uninviting.

I honestly don't get the thing people have about Hugo. He just doesn't have enough power or depth to his voice. He sounds sort of screechy to me in places. The Juan guy was better than Hugo. The Dan guy problem staying on pitch.

Jeremey mops the floor with all of them.

AHHHHHH... that 's what a tribute band does, it is a replication of the band and it's music, EVOLUTION plays theaters and large clubs. They put on a concert, and tries to come as close to a Journey show from the 80's, for an experience. Frontiers is a Journey cover band, and they sound good, but as far as getting that Journey experience, they don't come close, EVOLUTION is the best.

Evolution is a Vegas-type Journey IMPERSONATION. If I want a twilight zone, cooky-type experience, I'll go see Evolution. If I want to see Journey music played at its best, other than the real deal, I'll go see Frontiers or Lights.
