I am guessing you have never seen EVOLUTION live. correct? And that you no nothing about the guys in EVOLUTION or Hugo?

I love how this argument is always trotted out as if to say that if you haven't seen them live then your opinion is crap. I've seen enough videos and heard enough boots to know that Hugo doesn't sound good enough to do the Journey tunes justice, in my opinion. In a live concert setting, you can't usually hear the singer's voice that well to really tell if he is staying on pitch, hitting the high notes, etc. I saw Journey live several times with Augeri as the lead singer and I always thought he sounded great, that is until I heard boots from some of those shows and heard how horrible he sounded during the last few years. At the time, I would've argued that someone complaining about Augeri had to see the band live to judge his singing and I would've been totally wrong.

What it comes down to is Hugo sucks compared to Jeremey and Juan Del Castillo, in my opinion.

They put on a concert, and tries to come as close to a Journey show from the 80's, for an experience. Evolution is a Vegas-type Journey IMPERSONATION. If I want a twilight zone, cooky-type experience, I'll go see Evolution. If I want to see Journey music played at its best, other than the real deal, I'll go see Frontiers or Lights.

Never heard him or OF him, but by the name it seems that guy would be the answer to part of Humdinger's prayers for a latin tasting Journey. Me? I'll enjoy LaRaza Del Sol forever (what a creation of genius by Perry/Schon/Cain) and hope to leave it at that.
