I'd pay $300 to have front row seats and back stage VIP passes to a meet and greet. For general admission, I'd be willing to pay $70.

I was watching the ESC4P3 DVD last night and I don't think it will get remotely close to that, so I'd do it for nostalgia reasons more than anything.

:)

That was a great show. I saw them in Dallas the night after that. The best concert I've ever seen.

Oh that KILLS me. I was living 70 miles north of Houston the night of that concert. I was 16 years old, I begged and begged and BEGGED and threatened to kill myself, and locked myself in the bathroom and screamed for two hours solid, promised to wash his car, clean the house for one year, shine his shoes, learn how to cook, ANYTHING!, but my Dad wouldn't let me go. I am scarred for life over that one.  I had to go back for counseling when the DVD came out.

Like I said last year- I would pay $300.00 to sit in the last row of a stadium just to relive it. If they did 5 shows the ticket brokers and ebay would determine what the prices would be . How many here would run to get a ticket to see what could be made ?

Aw, I'm sorry you didn't get to go. That was a good one indeed. You must be right at 40 years old if my math is any good.
I like to sit out on the front porch, where the birds can see me, eating a plate of scrambled eggs, just so they know what I'm capable of.

Well I guessed wrong because I was a year younger than I remembered when I saw that show. I'm 44, and was 19 at the time. I don't have many memories that are any better than that night.

You got me all messed up running around the house here trying to figure out how old I and now AND then. Close enough, I guess. I am SO jealous. I would have donated a limb to be there.

It was a last minute decision. I had just sold my motorcycle a few days prior and had $600.00 burning a hole in my pocket, lol...

Steve Perry loves you all

Yeah, that's an incredible lineup. Only if Rolie would play E5C4P3 and Frontiers tunes.

I'd pay $150.

For a Perry fronted Journey with Smith back on the drums I'd beg, borrow or steal. I'd pay serious dough. For a cabaret act with some guy from a tribute band singing, I'll pay exactly zero.

He didn't show of course, but you know what? It was the only time I got to see Neal, Jon, Ross and SMITTY perform live. Got to tell you, Smitty wiped the floor with every drummer who performed that night. The crowd went nuts for him. Even Dean (literally) fell over backwards in awe at Smith's chops on Dean's own kit (he was sitting right behind him while Smitty went at it). You could tell by the looks on the rest of the band's faces that they knew how powerful an instrumental quartet they were with Smitty on the drums. It was a night and day performance.

I was there too, for the same reason....as I thought Perry may show. There were so many rumors going around that day. Smitty was unbelievable! What a compliment, as Dean watched with the biggest grin on his face the entire time Smitty played.

To me it would be. I don't care how low he has to sing the songs now days, he's the best frontman there ever was. Right up there with Mercury.

You can't really tune down guitar based music more than 1/2 step without having to completely rewrite the guitar parts. I think Perry'd need a lot more downtuning than that.

The second Neal has to hit an open chord, its over. No way Perry could sing "Stone In Love" remotely close to the original key after so many years.

Wow...gave me chills there!

Could you imagine what the room would have been like if SP strutted up there that night and the 5 of them played a few tunes???!!!!

I would say my limit is $500 for Perry, Schon, Cain, Smith, Valory.

I would also pay that for a reunited Rolie, Schon, Valory, Cain w/o Perry.
