Wow, that's the first time I've been called anything like THAT before. :?

What happened? I haven't been paying attention the past few days.

Attended the first game of a day/night double header, and almost needed bail money! Mets fans swarmed Citizens Bank Park like locust. Locust have more class then the Mets fans we saw today. A total abomination. Just because Shea Stadium is a cesspool doesn't mean Mets fans need to contaminate another park! While I admit not all Mets fans are bad, the very LOUD minority that invaded Philly today should be incarcerated!

Dude, are you serious? This crap started early. Yeah, it sucked to be swept, but even classy Mets fans that were there today admit to being ashamed!

I'm no dude & lighten up Moose, just joking!!! I've been to many a Mets/Phillies game at the old Vets Stadium (dating myself, I know... ) but I understand where you're coming from. The classless fans usually ruin it for the rest of us 8)

Um...I'm reasonably sure it was Philly fans who've been voted (nearly unanimously) by players and fans alike as being the most obnoxious. I have friends from Philly and even they concede that. City of brotherly love, my ass. Remember when they KO'd Vukovich with a D battery back in the late 70's? Sure, that eminates class. Mets fans are bad, but Philly fans are the worst. They're even comparable to British soccer hooligans (and I lived in the UK for years, so I know my hooligans!).

They do it every time there is a series down here. Not surprised at all.

Mets fans lead the league in potbellies in Wally Backman jerseys, too what is that? It's not bad that they travel well, it is the sense of entitlement they come with, the behavior as if it is THEIR place to destroy or do with as they please and the HOME fans are the visitors. It's incredible. I don't see it W NYGiants fans as much as they travel.
The Mets fans have the F you brazenness in other stadiums that I've never seen out any other fan lot.

Screw you, too Wee Willy Wagner.

Series analysis: Right now New York's got the pitching that Phillies don't. Gonna be hard to shift that too until the end of July. Nobody's gonna wanna part with a pitcher until it's too late. The Phillies brass (montgomery and owneship) are tickled too, because they're gonna draw 200,000 this weekend and have the built in injury excuse for getting broomed.

Dano,
You ever even been to Philly? (I doubt it) The legend of Philly fans being so bad is quite a bit overstated. Vocal, yes. Hooligans? I think not. There were times in the old Vet that Eagles fans got out of hand. Those days are over. The criminal element has been priced out of the Linc, and thus the new stadium is tame by comparison.

In fact, yesterday's Mets fans were far worse than the Giants fans that came to the Linc last September. Lacking class and consideration for anyone else. Why don't you take your Met fan friends back to the UK with you! 8)

Good old Monty was on 950 AM with that serial ass kisser Don Tollefson yesterday and actually got a little defensive at some of the soft balls Tolly was throwing him. I'd like to see Monty go on Eskin's show...

Heard it, indeed and I'd LOVE to see if he somehow kept that squinty beady eyed face straight when he was telling Tolly "If thios were the NBA, or NHL we'd've been in the playoffs 5 of the last 7 years."

You gotta be kidding me Monty. Drop dead. SELL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How shocking...A NY sports fan acting like a complete ASS! Didn't you see the game at Yankee Stadium about 3 years ago when these morons were throwing D cell batteries at opposing players (and it wasn't even the Red Sox)!!!!! NY fans SUCK and have ZERO class!!! Sure...Philly booed Santa Claus, but I've never seen their fans try to end an opposing player's life!

Never been to Shea but they never acted like that in Houston. Maybe Texans know how to put NYers in check.

New York should have 3 teams. Boston should have 2. MLB only caters to New York and Boston and fuck everybody else. The Orioles (Peter Angelos you suck) get a team jammed right up their ass in Washington, DC (who do deserve one) and can't compete.

Ah fuck it, the whole sport has been ruined by steroids anyway. I'd rather spend my money at a Michael Vick cock fighting championship.

Steroids? In baseball? Please. Kevin Mensch and Booby Bonds were born with pumkin-sized heads. It's all natural...testosterone and HGH, that is.
