Coming from a die hard RUSH fanatic: 2112, Fountain of Lamneth, Cygnus x-1 (books I and II), and The Camera Eye.

The only one I can listen to all the way through is XANADU. And possibly The Necromancer - because it is so damn weird.....lol

It's a good song...but I don't see why people have been clamoring for it since '81. I'd be more inclined to hear Different Strings or Available Light live for the FIRST time.

1. Batman
2. Freebird
Finally, Harry Chapin could of cut out the last verse of Cats In the Cradle, and Terry Jacks should of left out the final verse of Seasons In the Sun- Both are tooooooo damn long!!!!!!

P.S. ANY song sung by Ross, Neal or Jonathan are TOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO long!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh GOD YES! This song is horribly long!!!

For alot of these tunes, though, I don;t mind a good extended jam, so long as it rocks. One of my alltime favorites is the Outlaws GREEN GRASS AND HIGH TIDES and that bastard goes on for a good 20 minutes live...

My fave long play tune is Funeral For A Friend/Love Lies Bleeding from Elton John.
What a great song!

Heh, every time I hit "The Camera Eye" or "Carouselambra" on their respective CD's in my truck, I put them on repeat. They're easily in my Top 10 Rush/Zeppelin tunes. Let's face it - most rock music is pointless (unless you're a bunch of self-important snobs like U2). That's a major part of the appeal for me; I can get totally lost in the melody or the rhythm, or listen in utter awe at the technical mastery, and generally not give a crap about what the song is about (if it's even about anything at all). The lyrics are really secondary to me.

There are two kinds of music - rock, and roll.

Favorites: Def Leppard (Pyromania = Best album ever), Rush, Journey (minus the turmoil), Nickelback, 3 Doors Down, Aerosmith, AC/DC, Night Ranger, Live, Collective Soul

I agree totally, it's all about the majesty of the music that makes me listen.
I like to sit out on the front porch, where the birds can see me, eating a plate of scrambled eggs, just so they know what I'm capable of.

The three songs that seem to NEVER end for me are:

American Pie - Don McLean
Stairway To Heaven - Zeppelin (probably the longest song, EVER)!
Paradise By The Dashboard Lights - Meatloaf
