KISSOLOGY VOLUME TWO!!!!!

Postby X factor » Sat Jun 23, 2007 5:43 am

Just picked up this tidbit today!
Sounds pretty good, ESPECIALLY the HITS show fro 90! (which is interesting, as I've always heard they did no film archiving for that tour...)

I'm really looking forward to this. Kissology I was a tremendous release. KISS should have released this material a long time ago. It would have kept a lot of money out of the bootleggers hands and went into Gene and Paul's pockets instead.

I agree...I'm very excited too. LOVED the first volume...and God knows Gene and Paul need MORE money!

But if that first disc doesn't have a DYNASTY show on it, I'll be pissed!

I'm pretty sure Largo 79 will be the additional material pending. They used clips from it on the Kiss My A** release.

Hey ya'll check THIS out! (From Kissasylum.com)

Inside sources confirm that, like Vol. 1, there will, in fact, be three different limited edition "4th bonus discs" in the initial pressings of KISSOLOGY Vol. 2. Retailer details are not confirmed at this time. The shows to be featured are:

Capital Centre – Largo, MD – 7/7/79 (Dynasty Tour) [track listing forthcoming, though ALL 4 solo albums songs will be included]

Budokan Hall – Tokyo Japan – 4/21/88 (Crazy Nights Tour)

The Ritz – New York City – 8/13/88 (Crazy Nights Tour)

Everyone should feel confident that no matter where they go within the first week or two of release, they’ll get a 4 disc version. Excitement and value are big considerations for everyone involved in the KISSOLOGY series. For those interested in all three bonus discs, specific retailer details will be forthcoming.

That RITZ show would be cool as hell!
So, AR, it appears that LARGO is part of the "4th disc"...know what I think? I think they're negotiating with whomever owns the rights to see if the rest of Disc one can contain KISS MEETS THE PHANTOM. Can't figure out what else it would be...
...not that I'm really HAPPY about that...

I really hope they improve the sound quality on volume 2. I loved volume 1, but the sound quality left a little to be desired.

I think it definitely will be, if for no other reason than the equipment used to record these later shows was far superior to the old cameras that captured that cool early 70's stuff/

I really hope it is the Euro version "Attack of the Phantoms" too!

Tell you what _ I have virtually every worthwhile Kiss bootleg around and still vol 1 with Largo 77 blew me away!!!!!!! :D

Hilarious - for all the run I've gotten on the Journey forum - Kiss is my favorite band of all time. All of their faults and greed noted of course - still doesn't change the fact that they are they greatest live show ever in rock.

I'll be hunting for the sets that have the shows from the Crazy Nights tour. That was my first KISS concert, my first proper KISS album. I've got both of these on bootleg audio - can't wait for a visual medium.
Oww. My aching tentacles.
