Hmm. Walking away from the mic in the desert...
I never thought about it that way, but that's an interesting idea.
I just always thought it was really cool photography!! 8)

(except for the shot that made the cover - holy shit, what was he thinking?
Never a great one for album covers, was he? There was a way better shot that should have been the cover)

GI Jim,

Actually I did read a lot of clues into the FTLOSM pics and songs. I personally think that CD delved deeper into the man who is Perry than he admitted in any interviews about it. Some of that introspection also came through into the music on TBF, but not as much as FTLOSM. That may be why FTLOSM is my favorite album of all. It's not that the music, lyrics or production is all that, it's that I feel like I'm getting to know Steve a little better through it.

 Geez that sounds sappy, but it's honest. Image

Very well said. I believe it was the first time Steve ever got honest with himself. He sure does wear his heart on his sleeve. That is what makes him such a gem. Anyway is definitely one of the saddest SP song, followed by What Was, in my opinion. The way he says "goodbye" in that song just breaks my heart with pain.
