Sadly, the surge really isn't working. There will be a troop pull out within 18 months, I'm certain of it. We didn't get to this stage of the game by losses on the battlefield. The left, virtually working hand in hand with Al Queda in the press, defeated us.

The left does not want us to win because they'll suffer politically. Although I was DREADFULLY mistaken in my early support for this war, I also recognize a pull out will create a much, much bigger problem. Thus I recognize the importance of getting the Iraqi government to stand on it's own, even though I doubt it'll happen.

The left rode to power in 2006 on the "WE HATE GEORGE BUSH" platform. Not original ideas. Not a new vision, no new direction. In the short time they've been in power, they've launched 300 congressional investigations. Granted, some of them are legitimate like the white house firing of the Federal prosecutors who didn't toe the Administration's line. Notice Johnny Sutton still has his job?

The blame for the sad state of the Republican party starts with our idiot president and flows down through the ranks to all the kool aid drinking Senators and Congressman who blindly followed this bumbling idiot through one catastrophe after the next.

24 months ago, I predicted Bush's legacy would be WORSE than Carters and most people thought that just wasn't possible. Nobody can top that.

I was right.

Far too easy. A week or two and you'll be crying about how this board sucks and we "can have it." We've heard all your bullshit before. Your track record proves you're a quitter. That hardly deserves my attention.

That's totally incorrect.

Also, why is it that Republicans feel threatened by Global Warming being brought to the attention of the world? Not that you're a republican Jim, but still, they fear that data. Why? Is that because it doesn't correspond with the Jesus is coming back timeline or what exactly? I don't get it. Rather than do things to help many just want to say the whole thing is BS.

It's not Republicans running from data. It's Gore that turns tail whenever scientists bring their numbers and research to debate him! What you should be asking is why doesn't Gore go head to head with his data and prove it once and for all? He'd get creamed and he knows it! That's why.

Well if every nation that were asked to sign on to the Kyoto agreement had complied completely. Scientists say that the effect on the environment would be MAYBE 4/10 of 1 degree....too small of a change to even measure. This at the cost of how many trillions of dollars  We can't cause the Earth to cool anymore than we can cause it to warm! It's all nonsense.

Funny thing about 'Live Earth' in the UK was that it was, in reality, a non-event. The much vaunted BBC fcuked its coverage so badly that the audience fluctuated between 900,000 and 2.6 m. It was spoiled by the inane drivel from the clebrity presenters who really don't know when to shut up. Metallica (always a tad heavy for me) were brilliant, the Foos just wonderful, Spinal Tap were, well, exceptional and the BBC truncated the performamces of Metallica and Spinal Tap. We got Pussycat thingies in full and numerous other mediocre 'groups'.

Did it get the message over? In reality probably not, but then again I'm not sure if any concert could deliver like Live Aid did.

Nope, why else do scientist who put their **life on the line with this give us 80 years to prove their case if they are so right??? I mean come on, they will be proven wrong in 30 and they will be already dead or not in practice any more.

Listen!

If and when something may happen, my guess is that it will be LONG after I'm dead, my children are dead, and my grandchildrens' grandchildren will be dead too. So since I'm dead I really could give a shit less what is happening above ground. I'm a fucking worm buffet. Sounds a little apathetic but, I feel we're doing far more harm to each other with violence towards ourselves than we ever could do to the environment. So if you wanna hug your trees fine, I just hope their bulletproof. That's a bigger problem to me right now.

BTW, I know nothing, just reading between the lines here... but if the dems want us now--- I think they are affraid of the USA actually winning this thing, the faster we pull out the more chance they (dems) have of winning in 2008... HOWEVER, when the momentum switches and less and less severe violence happens, people feel more secure, etc...could be by the end of this year... it will be amazing what will happen... The biggest thing I think now is that Turkey has decided finally to secure their border with their own troops of at least 100,000. Too bad there four years to late, but could be just in time.

When it starts working? When? LOL, dude, I cannot believe you admitted you are a W supporter. I hope the fucker rots in Hell with Cheney.

Oh yeah, I am Hell bent on getting Clinton in the White House. I pray for the days we had under Clinton. Please please please win Hillary!

Oh let's see. A recent reporter, independent I believe, was embedded with Al Quida and his report was broadcaste on NBC? CNN airing footage of one of their correspondents embedded with a Al Quida sniper, picking off US service men. Is that enough or would you like more?

brywool wrote:WHAT are we doing in IRAQ? It has NOTHING to do with Terrorism or WMD.

Technically, you are correct although there is ample evidence to suggest Iraq's WMD was smuggled into Syria in the days leading up to the war. However, none were found and I'll concede that point.

That being said, can you possibly comprehend the implications of a sudden Vietname style pull out? Yes, it is a mess. Yes, we should have never gone and I would not have gave Bush one ounce of support for the war but that doesn't change the here and now. Can you imagine the implications of Iran assuming control over Iraq and Iraq's oil supply?

That's all the war is about, and that's all it's ever been about. They used WMD to trick us to go in there. Don't get me wrong, I back our service men and have total respect for them, but not one American life should have been lost over one drop of goddamn oil.

interesting.... lets see, their lawyer dead,a few troopers in ARK dead, 93 attourneys fired, travel office fired, lied under oath, wanted the same war were in now against Sadam, had bin laden on a plate... but was too timid to go after them... china stealing secerets, North Korea stealing secerets, WACO, we won that one... nafta, good economy after the GOP took over the house and senate in 1994... govt closure in 1995... that the media was on Clinton side. he did save welfare with help with NEWT. Got 43 percent of the vote in both 92 and 96...but won because stupid people voted for Perot. Can I go on. I forgot, future earnings with cattle... way back, finding billing records 3 years after the fact... it can go on and on...
appeasements with the terrorists... Kosovo, still not resolved, they are still waiting for the USA to give them their freedom. And wasn that the war that was supposed to have the tropps home with in 1 year or less back in whenever that was... 1997, or there abouts..

Um let's see if I get this ridiculous statement here. He wants us to conserve energy yet puts on a concert viewed by millions worldwide. Was everything they used equipment wise solar powered? Hamsters on wheels? No you stupid fucking hypocrite, they used electricity and fucking tons of it to pull off that show and broadcast it to a worldwide audience.

As far as your "and you" Comment goes, Am I rich? No...Have I made a movie? No...Concert with Billions? Nope again! Have I been Vice President? Once again, you got me.

No, but I have served over 16 years in the U.S. Army during 2 wars, and made a lot of sacrifices, so that People like you can come in hear and praise tree-hugging!

It's okay, just let the whole world go to pot...so your kid's kids live in sheer hell on earth.
