I think out of all the great bands supported here by the site Foreigner, now at the 12 year mark and counting, has surpassed Survivor who recently ended an 18-year-studio albumless drought.

Every year since '97 there have been threats at concerts and online innuendos about "writing" and "prepping" a new album and NOW the gap between records has stretched out longer than the time of their acknowledged hayday of 77-87 (Debut-Inside Information).

Come on, Mick.

Quit being a Frankie Sullivan.

Incidentally 2 of the titles I keep stumbling upon as being possibles for inclusion began during Lou Gramm's tenure and after Mr Moonlight: Red Letter Day and Crash And Burn (which I believe made its way into a setlist or 2 around 96-97).

I thought "Luann" was a gem, and would have been a big hit in the 80's.

I couldn't agree more.

I wonder...if Jamo and Peterik and Ellis got together, would their right to "Survivor" supercede Sullivan and Droubay's?

Anyway, Mick is full of hot air. They need to bury the hatchet with Lou and do a one-off tour.

But frankly spoken I dropped the ball with Foreigner. Who is in the current line-up? Same singer as in the 90´s?

#1 From everyting I can gather it is Lou that needs to bury the hatchet and not in Mick's back where he wants it.

#2 I agree, time to get Lou back one way or another, but I disagree that it needs to be a one-off.

Lou's been singing regularly solo since he quit I see no reason not to continue toruing and recording as a functional Foreigner.

No slur on Kelly Hanson, either I like the live album with him.

Current lineup, Ingok is Mick Jones, Jeff Pilson (bass), Jason Bonham (drums), Jeff Jacobs (keys) and Kelly Hanson on vox. Thom Gimble plays sax and some rythm guitar

Good lineup indeed, I want to see it, but I'll has to settle for the Live cd - money is tight and concerts are only the cream of the crop for me.

I don't know of any boots.

the most easily accessible official release is the 2002 DVD All Access Tonight. Live dvd from that tour w/ 10 songs, have it, love it. Got a guerilla/boot kinda feel but the sound is amazing.

I saw Lou in 2006. It is amazing that he is still with us. At that show he struggled to keep his breath. and sing too. There was no energy left for anything else. The passion seemed to be gone, and he didn't reach any of the power notes. I go see Lou to support him, anyway.

I love seeing Foreigner with Kelly on lead vocals. Kelly, Jeff Pilson and Jason Bonham are all excellent additions to the band.

Now Foreigner puts on a rockin' show, which I can't say was the case when we saw Foreigner with Lou.

There is a dvd from 1992 or 1994 at Deercreek outside Indy, I think at Noblesville, In. I remember Pilson and Jacobs were playing then. Lou sang some of the best vocals ever. I know Lou left,but I wish it had never happened and it still keeps me from having any interest. Seems like the writing has left also and the fire Foreigner took to its music. I feel the same about Styx and Journey. Maybe lead singers should not write and leave so much of their persona behind.

Yea that dvd is pretty good. Originally out as a VHS in '94 from a show in IN in '93.

Bruce Turgeon was on the bass, Scott Gilman on sax and Mark Schuman on drums. Jacobs on keys.

Heard a a recent boot of Lou Gramm and even though it was unrecognisable to the Lou Gramm all us Foreigner fans loved, he still sounded okay but not good enough to get back and tour with Foreigner, especially as in Kelly Hansen, they have a vocalist who sounds great and very similar to early Lou.

Listening to a boot of the "4" tour at the moment and thats classic Foreigner

I got two or three boots of Gramm solo, plus four or five songs that he sings lead on on other people cds.-ERIC
