Agreed. With all the lousy remakes of our favorite old tv shows and movies we've been subjected to lately, i pray they never touch this one. You can't improve on anything Mel Brooks has done, especially this gem.

It IS going Broadway. Live theatrical version has been cast, and I believe is due to open in November in NYC.

I'd kill or die to see it there.

I read a while back in the NY Post that Cloris Leachman wanted to reprise her role as Frau Blucker on stage and they said no. According to the article, alot of people would love to see her do it on stage, but the producers say she is too old now.
