OT: President Bush makes girl cry

Postby conversationpc » Wed Jul 11, 2007 1:13 pm

OK...If constantly stating my disapproval of Bush's overall performance isn't good enough for you liberals, here's something that really pissed me off. This is from Michelle Malkin's blog... http://michellemalkin.com/2007/07/10/pr ... -girl-cry/

Michelle Malkin wrote:The Washington Times sends along its account of how a 13-year-old girl was driven to tears today when her question to President Bush about immigration was met with initial derision by the shamnesty champion-in-chief...

A question for President Bush on immigration rose up like a ghost from the grave this afternoon in Ohio.

Only the questioner was a 13-year old blonde-headed girl, Jessica Hackerd, from Brecksville, Ohio, who immediately broke into tears after making her inquiry...

Way to go, President Bush. Make a little girl cry.

Malkin's closing paragraph is right on the money...

Do you think there’s anyone in the White House who might possibly realize that it’s precisely this flippant attitude that has turned off so many grass-roots conservatives and eroded the president’s political capital when he needs it the most?

I have seen many, many instances of Bush comforting people and really reaching out to people. If he had really intended to upset the girl, he would have just continued and ignored her question. if you have ever watched one of his press conferences, he tends to give smart ass responses like that. Probably wasn't appropriate in this case, but Michelle blew it out of proportion. I think a better point to make against Bush is him commuting the sentence of Scooter Libby, but not the 2 border agents who are doing 10 years for shooting a drug smuggler. That is ludicrous!

I'm afraid nobody cares what we think any more. They know what the American people think and they do what they want to do any way. I know we can change things by voting them out but I am honestly worried to death about what can happen between now and then. I'm not just talking about Republicans either. I'm talking about all of them. Right now they all look the same to me.

You're probably right. Those border agents should definitely have either never received a sentence or just gotten community service or something like that.

Bush is an arrogant, pompous, spoiled little brat who is no less of a dictator than Saddam Hussein was.

Everyone has an opinion. I've yet to see Bush do anything constructive except make his oil buddies richer. His is so damn selfish that it makes me sick. I cannot believe he gave Scooter a get-out-of-jail-free pass. That just proves how corrupt to the core that he is.

Bush knows nothing about a government being "by the people, for the people". He tells us, "I know what is best for this country, and you don't" because he is the Decider. I cannot wait until we get his dumb ass out of the White House so we can begin cleaning up his mess. I just hope it's not too late.

I thought Clinton was bad, but he's a saint compared to Bush. Getting a hummer in the Oral Office is nothing compared to lying to Congress and the American people to start a war based on lies just because he wanted to payback Saddam for what he did to his daddy.

I would like to be there to see that happen. He would probably start crying and whining like a little spoiled sissy. I used to be a Republican, but I see no reason to declare a party anymore. I support anyone who is willing to do what is best for our country and run their office in a "by the people, for the people" manner.

Sure, I'm okay. We just may not agree on how we feel about George Bush. It doesn't mean anything's wrong with me. There are more people who agree with me than those who disagree. Bush has ruined our status among our allies around the world, and he has also spent 500-billion on a war that was based on lies. That money could have been spent to better our country. Bush won't listen to sound logic - he just bullies people and does whatever the hell he feels like. It makes me nauseous to even look at him anymore - and to think that at one time I supported him. Man, were we ever duped.

Yeah, count me as a former supporter. I have never felt like this about anyone, but if he was running in '08, I would probably vote for anybody running against him.

Okay, so is there something wrong with this guy too? Is his post better than mine? Why target me? If you go out and ask your neighbors, 70% of them will agree with what this guy said and what I said about Bush.

Malkin's closing paragraph is right on the money...

Do you think there’s anyone in the White House who might possibly realize that it’s precisely this flippant attitude that has turned off so many grass-roots conservatives and eroded the president’s political capital when he needs it the most?

So, are you a Bush supporter or not? If not, than why did you say my post was dumb? Yours is no different - just maybe a little less blunt.

How can you possibly equate my post with yours. You said Bush was no less of a dictator than Saddam Hussein. To equate Bush with a murderous tyrant is downright stupid.

Voted for him and I don't think he's the total boogeyman but the arrogant/stubborn label fits and going after Iraq before we had the Taliban, al queda and Afganistan in hand and now banging our heads against the wall in the gulf is really not adding up.

I do agree that we needed to remove hussein, though just not until AFTER the Afgan conflict was over.

That's the biggest mistake made by the current administration: not taking care of business and bowing to political pressure. If we had used true shock and awe like they said, we could've had this whole thing over by now or at least on the way to finishing it up.

Yea, and now like the trick candles on a birthday cake the taliban seem to be coming back online????

We had our boots on their throats. WTF? Why the diversion of attention?

Still agree with Bush's pro-life stance too (fire away, peeps).

Bush IS a fucking dictator. You want a simple example:
People of this country want the war to end. The congress wants it to end. All the votes and polls come up with the majority of us wanting the war to end. Yet because Bush has the last word, he wins. Tell me how that is true democracy, when no matter what the PEOPLE want, the President gets the last word and gets the right to veto it??? If this is not dictatorship, its the next best thing, cause he also gets away with it by calling it democracy! Bull-fucking-shit!!!
As far as brutal goes, the past 4 years Bush has killed as many Iraqi's as Saddam did the previous 4 years .

The U.S.A. is not supposed to be a democracy. We are supposed to be a constitutional republic. Democracy is basically mob rule, which is not what the founding fathers intended and rightly so. If we were a democracy, slavery would've lasted longer than it did.

Anyway, because of the separation of powers, the President has the right to send troops into battle. Congress can exert their influence by withdrawing funding for whatever conflict we might be involved in at the time. They haven't done that because they don't have the guts to stand up for their beliefs. If the funding is withdrawn, the President would have no choice but to bring our sons and daughters home. That's the way it works.

In short, your argument is really weak.

Fuck you dave!
My arguement is simple, George W Bush IS a brutal dictator.
If we're not DEMOCRACY then why are we trying so hard to bring democracy to Iraq!?

Also,,,, since youre such a Bush-lover,,, how come you keep trying to dig some shit on him!? On one side, you defend him and get offended if someone disrespects him, while on the other side you post shit about him just to cause more arguements.
I know where I stand when it comes to Bush,, but do YOU!? Make up your mind for God's sake!!

Bush is a brutal dictator. He is the self-proclaimed "Decider" who decides what is best for us, whether Congress or anyone else likes it.

If I disagree with Bush on an issue, I say so. If I agree with him on something and someone slams him, I slam back. Is that so friggin' difficult for your brain to understand?

Disagreeing with Bush on one point doesn't mean that I think he's an evil person or a tyrannical dictator, like people such as yourself seem to think. Like any politician, only the mindless myrmadons think he is either God incarnate or evil. It doesn't have to be one or the other. Please try thinking for yourself for a change. It does wonders.
