Anything of Into The Fire - especially Another Day, Native Son, Heat Of The Night...

Then most of Reckless, YWIYGI and the masterful Live Live Live

"Run to You" rocks, plus the fact that it is about his guitar makes it even better. 8)

Waking up the neighbours is my favorite. The new stuff I don´t like so much, except "Here I am".

My fav. is "This Time", old, but peppy and brings back great memories. Didn't he make a video down in a drained swimming pool? or was that someone else in the 80's?

He's touring by the way: http://www.bryanadams.com/onlineshop/to ... r_2007.htm

no where near me though. :?

Reckless is probably my favorite BA album as a whole followed by Wakin' Up The Neighbors. Hell...most of his albums are VERY well done. But On a Day Like Today is kind of a crap album. I Loved C'mon C'mon C'mon and Fearless off of that album but the rest is rather disposable. imo.

I always liked Bryan Adams...BA/Survivor in '85 was my first concert...

At any rate, like Andrew I loved "Into the Fire", from top to bottom it was such a defining record...

Of course Reckless is a pure classic and hold even today and I could not stop listening to "Waking Up the Neighbors" when it came out...

I was also a pretty big fan of his Unplugged album in the late '90's...

What ever really happened to him after that, I'm not sure...

I do like "When Your Gone" and "Cloud Number Nine".....

The video you're thinking of was "Cuts Like a Knife".
When did he release a song called, Here I am? It's not off of Room Service. What am I missing?

Raider,

Here I Am
is actually off an animated soundtrack, "Spirit" the horse movie. He did the entire CD, about 5 vocal tracks and many instrumental. This was in about 2001/2002.

I like all the Cd's and especially, the last one, Room Service is spectacular. I rate it above Into The Fire, Cuts Like a Knife and Neighbours.

Raider, I have some excellent boots of Here I Am, that I can send you. Hell, I can send you some songs never released, like, Hey Elvis, So Far So Good, and Diana....all good.

Also, if you don't have it, Live in Lisbon is the latest live CD and is second to none.As good as Journey Houston 81.

Huh, knew nothing about it. I may have to look into getting the cd or getting some tracks from itunes.
I have Hey Elvis. It's alright, in fact I need to load that one into my ipod. I always forget the singles.

SAME here! "Native Son" is such an underrated song...unbelievable.That in my book should have been a number one song.Pure finesse and feeling.

Speaking of one of the songs from the thread title,Run To You,I've watched this clip from Wembley on YouTube, and besides marveling at that fantastic crowd,I couldn't help thinking how much it reminded me of the opening part of "Send Her My Love" - the recording which is on Journey's GHDVD...
Same thing.I'm almost waiting for the SHML theme to kick in!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sMk4__bOXH4

But then I remember Bryan's words (I always do whenever I hear a similarity between his and Journey's music) "I was sitting in the wings in awe watching that huge machinery named Journey"...or something to that effect.I bet he learned a lot while he was touring with Journey in the '80.

Not bringing Journey talk here,nope,lol...It's a nice Forum.I love BA.

Please leave that shit band Journey out of this Forum.

Hate to tell you, that was NOT Wembley. I know a poster said that, and he also said it was in 92. Dumbass, it was Dallas '87. I have THAT show. Adams didn't wear Black in 92, he wore all white.

I have always loved Wakin' Up The Neighbors. I borrowed it from a friend when I was in 7th grade getting ready for a family drive from Michigan to Orlando. Listened to it for the first time , and then for the entire trip there and back; probably around 40 hours or so total. Had the whole tape memorized by the time we got there, and sang it all week long. My poor family had to suffer though it, and then my parents had to buy me pretty much everything else I could get my hands on that he had put out before it! I'm glad there is a forum here for him now.

One of those really obscure tracks that I love off of "Neighbors" is Don't Drop That Bomb On Me. Don't really like the lyrics all that much but musically it's GREAT.
Depend On Me is one of those great uptempo ballads on that album as well. :-)

It's a good song. Not exactly obscure...but I like it. Like Thought I Died And Gone To Heaven a wee bit better though. Don't have to deal with the "Na na's" at the end of that one.

Come on, dude. Leave politics out of this forum.

BA's best songs...hmmm...(in order)

Tonight (who you gonna run to/now your ass is on the line...don't try to tell me who's wrong or right/if we don't see eye to eye/there's no point in trying to change it at all...GENIUS)
'69
Cuts Like a Knife
East Side Story
Diana
Where Angels Fear to Tread
One Night Love Affair
Native Son
What's It Gonna Be
The Only One
Cloud Number Nine
Straight From the Heart
Please Forgive Me
Heat of the Night
Heaven
Flying
Vanishing
Lonely Nights
Try to See it My Way (his most underrated tune)
The Best Was Yet to Come
Don't Let Go
Victim of Love
Wastin' Time
No-One Makes It Right

I think the Outfield has a lot in common with BA's sound, too...

I can't check now cuz I'm at work, but I'm sure I have never heard or seen any footage from Dallas '87.Believe me,I have 5 tons of BA boots and the commercial releases,so I would have remembered.

I do think that's Wembley '92...Was the same year when BA had his first shows in Hungary and Turkey.I've seen a short clip (boot) from Hungary and he was wearing black.
Maybe this sounds weird, but look at the other Wembley vids too, look at some of the peeps in the audience when they sing along - I can tell they speak British English by the way they pronounce the words,LOL!

Anyway, that wasn't the point of my previous post.I was struck by the Journey-esque intro, that'sall.

Wembley 1992.

Here's SO'69,same show,Wembley,of course. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2dBnCF8yf4I

Go to the 00:53 mark and watch that guy (big teeth, brown cuz of the sepia lighting  ) and look closely at the way he says "Jodi gut mareed"...
He's a Brit. He didn't open his mouth the American way to get those 2 words out! It's so hard to explain by typing, but you must know how British accents sound.

Not enough proof,sure.

Ok,go to mark 6:06,see Bryan sitting "in" the speaker? Now go to the link I have posted about the Wembley gig and you will see that same picture."In the speaker stack"
How about BA's special Gretsch guitar?Same,eh?

LOL,wtf am I doing here?Bryan himself could come and tell you it was Wembley and you'd tell him to shut up,right?

I was at college in 1992, working at the school arena, and he played there. I was security and I mosied down to soundcheck and basically hung out with him for 2 hours. He is a small little shit, but extremely friendly. I got fired, but of course I didn't give a shit either. Told my boss to" eat the corn out of my shit" and BA actually laughed out loud.
