Concerts you WISH you'd seen...

Postby Liam » Thu Jul 12, 2007 10:18 pm

Hey everyone...I'm kinda bored this morning so I figured I'd do something "constructive".
I'm sure I'll add more to it later but here's a few shows I WISH I would've seen or been alive for.

Led Zeppelin - Houses Of The Holy tour
The Doors - Any
Hendrix - ANY
Journey - pretty much any pre-Escape shows
Styx - Grand Illusion and Pieces of Eight tours
The Police - Synchronicity tour
Def Leppard - High and Dry and Pyromania tours
Journey - Polo grounds show (JSS's last show)

That's all I can really think of right this second. More to come...how about y'all?

Laura, sorry you never got to see a Perry/Journey show. :(
I know it's not the same, but the 81 Houston DVD, (which I'm sure you own and love!) really does capture the ethos and energy of those days.

You know, the Houston show IS the reason why I feel so sad about not seeing the real thing. If the energy level can get through a TV screen like that,I can only imagine what it might have been like to be actually THERE.

Oh well,I try to compensate with crazy rollercoaster rides.

Yep, I agree, the energy from that show jumps right out and pulls you into the screen, doesn't it? 8)

So you like roller coasters too, huh?
I could ride in the front car on the Batman roller coaster at Six Flags--ALL DAY LONG! :P
I grew up with a stomach for it because I used to fly in an open cockpit bi-plane with my dad when I was a kid.

Any concert that Steve Perry performed in. MISSED THEM ALL and I shoot myself on a daily basis because of it.

Any Rolling Stones concert -- still haven't the money to see them at the time they are in town.

bradwjensen,

If you get to see Rush on their current tour for Snake and Arrows, you should definitely go. Those guys can STILL get the job done, even after all these years.

The Outfield opened for Journey on the ROR tour, at least they did here in Atlanta.

I got sick and dizzy at work one day back in April. I drove home, which I shouldn't have done because I'm lucky I didn't crash and kill myself and/or someone else. I threw up in my truck about a mile from home. I threw up again after I got home. I basically spent three weeks lying down. Just barely moving my head would make me dizzy and sick.
