In the mid 90s I heard rumors that he had a grown daughter living in that area. I wonder if that's what that's about.

Thanks. I've been around AOL for 12.5 years, but as that board is dying a slow death, I come here for news.

Well you might get some news, but you'll get a lot of entertainment for sure. Welcome. Kick your shoes off and make yourself at home. :D

Very cool story...how do you find these things? :) Bet those women are still flying high. I have sort of a SP sighting, too...lol. I was on my way back from Fresno today & we decided to stop in Visalia (SP's old stompin' grounds) where my favorite fabric store is and I noticed for the first time the nearby corner eatery was called, "SP's Burgers"
Also, while flying by on the freeway I caught the word "ESPY" on a billboard or building in Fresno...I think it was for a musician cuz there was a pic of a guy with a guitar. Yeah, well, that's my SP excitement.

I was in Visalia a looong time ago, when I was 16. My grandmother lived in Lindsay. She used to manage a Ben Franklin department store there. We went all over that area. Tulare, Porterville, but I don't know if we ever went to Hanford.

Ooh ooh ooh, I have a story too. On my way to the doc's this am I saw a neon sign that said "SP" on it & I came damn close to an orgasm.

When I looked again, it was a psychic's office & the "E" must have been blown off during a hurricane. :-(

(Red13Joe, before u pop in & explode, I am really just kidding about the orgasm. Even I'm not that MUCH of a loon!)

Bwaaahhaaaa... What is it with these psychics? There's one on every corner & they usually have huge signs in front of their houses...they must be making money! Maybe, we should consult one & ask them, "will SP sing again?" :)

Somewhere in that neck of the woods, yes. A poster at BT lived in the same town as "the daughter" for awhile

Great find Laura! Just when it seems we have seen the last of him......

Oh, it was something utterly awful...like "how do you keep the ice from melting?" (implying she was hot)

These girls on these courses get everything from marriage proposals to ass pinches....so laying down a cheesy line like that after sucking down half a case a beer is just a way to get a laugh out of the other guys in the foursome...and most of the girls know that. Sometimes the girl is a naughty little ditty...and she'll wink back or even shake her ass at you as she drives off....I'm convinced some of them moonlight as strippers in the various myrtle 'gentlemens' clubs. In fact, one of the cart girls we had on our all-male golf trip down in June admitted that she worked at The Masters (a Myrtle area strip joint) at nights...

Unfortunately, the 'quality' of beer cart girl goes downhill after the end of the golf season in Myrtle. The girl from texas lives in Myrtle 5 months out of the year....from february to late june or july....to work the golfers both on the course and in the nasty bars at night. Once the strippers leave town, you're left with Granny's selling beer on the course.

Yep, that's pretty bad. try using some of these next time.....

LOL...This one has always been a favorite of mine:

"Nice shoes, wanna fuck?"

Or... "Do you fool around?" <No> "Would you lie still while I do?"

Laura,
Thank you for finding us and posting our story!! The response from this experience has been phenomenal and we hope it keeps going. We are going to save all of the messages we have gotten from people and even post a few on our website, with all the kind words that have been sent to us! Steve asked for our web site address, so maybe he will browse by and see all the nice things that were said about him! Anyway, it's nice to know that so many of you would have been just as flabbergasted as we were at the sight of him. I can't even truly describe it!!
