A Prayer For Japan

Postby scarygirl » Mon Jul 16, 2007 11:23 pm

Please say a prayer for the people of NW Japan. This morning they were hit my a massive earthquake. Hundreds of homes have been destroyed. 7 people confirmed dead with hundreds more injured. I have two friends who live there. Not in the city affected, but even so I'll feel better after I hear from them.

It looks like it's caused a fire at one of the world's most powerful nuclear plants also. Yikes!

Nuclear Reactor leaking...this isn't good.

Any bets on who the first nation to offer help will be? Sure as fuck won't be the billion or so rice eaters over the Great Fuckin Wall.

Not good. Japan gets a ton of quakes, but for one to screw up one of their reactors sucks even more. I'm going to go through the closets, these people are going to need clothing too as well as food. As I remember, when the Tsnunami (sp?? it's too damn early here) hit Indonesia, you could send clothing as well.

Into action all. Into action.

Hey a little joke to put a smile on your face and a tie in to the thread.

What do you call to Japanese dudes riding in a red Duster?

Answer- The Gooks of Hazard.

I am ever so grateful I've been planted where I am on the planet.
Always makes me sad thinking of disaster anywhere but it's somehow
worse seeing that the folks in most of these places don't even have
proper shelter or running water.
How can such bad continually strike those that have so little.
