JSS Band will do US Tour Dates this year!!!

Postby ArnelRox » Thu Jul 19, 2007 8:52 am

For anyone who hasn't yet made it over to the JSS forum on MR, Jeff just said that his band will be doing US tour dates this year. He will announce details there once he has them.

Oh happy happy day!

YEAH!! I'm in. Thanks Susie & Jeff.

I only got to see him once, and will attend. He was good enough to give Perry music justice.

Excellent! I will be there if he comes anywhere near the tri-state area.

JSS will get my hard earned cash instead of Journey.

Awesome. :)

Dear JSS, if you ever read this, don't play the HOB in Chicago, it's a piece of shit. There's some great smaller venues in the city that I think would be perfect for JSS.

Yeah I'd have to agree. What other venues are still there? Schuba's still around? Park West?

Do you think he will only sing his songs? He would be a fool not to tour immediately while his Journey gig is so popular with the new fans he has made.

Schubas isn't really a hard rock venue, but the Park West is by far the best venue in the city. There's also the Vic Theatre that holds about 1,000, probably too big for JSS.

I can see Jeff playing at Martyrs or the Abbey Pub...kind of on the small side but better to play a small venue and sell out than play somewhere too big and have it half-empty.

Martyrs is where he played with SoulSirkUS - I wasn't terribly impressed with the place, but I'd go back there in a heartbeat if I knew he was gonna be there again.
Peace ~

I haven't lived in Chicago for many years. Schuba's used to be totally cool. Saw many a great band there (Smashing Pumpkins before they were anything, for example). The Park West is awesome & always an intimate feel too even tho it holds quite a # of people. The Vic was a bit rundown for my liking. I don't know Martyrs at all. But I can't dig The Abbey as that's too small & pub-like. I thought they only had Irish bands anyway? Or has that changed since my days in Chi-town too?
