I have accepted the fact...

That Journey is no longer. If they tour again, it appears they will do it with a "Perry Impersonator". They have embraced being a Nostalgia band - which is fine if you have your most popular and recognizable member (Perry). But without Soto, any hopes of making good music again vanished.

The energy and interest that Soto brought was great. Heck, I was even going to go to a Live Show if they came close!

I guess we all really ARE getting old and have to embrace that. This board has even died from lack of interest. No news, no arguing - nothing. Heck, I guess all there is left to do is have Song Comparison threads.

As I have said before... We still have '81.

Well, he didn't get to see the show where Journey with JSS played all the old hits....which he would have gone to had it been really near his house.

As Red said...I'm sure he'll bounce back.

Seriously, if you were caught in the Heathrow airport, getting ready to depart for some Fag Convention in Europe somewhere, and Friga rolled in and dropped his trowsers to shit, would you service him in the stall? I have been wondering about this for a good 2 days

You're kind of torn between two lovers at the moment aren't you, Deano? You just don't know whose arse to kiss? JSS or Schon? Schon or JSS? Maybe you should flip a coin...

Screw that bullshit.

If Schon and JSS would just start kissing eachOTHER'S ass again we could be back in business.

JSS has the power to be the proverbial "fountain not a drain" in this scenario. His positivity needs to take over the situation. USE IT. If Deano says Azoff was already SOLD on him, that's one huge obstacle out of the way.
FORCE the issue of commication with the 2-headed power brokership of the band.
If they stone wall you once, go back again. It may be a pride-swallowing, humbling ordeal too. But these guys were too good together, looked like they got along too well to let it fuck itself up through misunderstandings that led to cessation of communication.
This is downtime for the band, there is a LOT of time to fix this. Happy as I am the Jeremy is on standby waiting to take us forward, I think he'd step aside in 2 seconds for JSS.

Nah, screw that. Actually happier that he is going to be performing with his solo band. Their chemistry is contagious and he can be more himself IMO. Moving onward and upwards! :D

I would be so pissed if Jeff went back to Journey.

Screw em. He is on his way to bigger and better things, with better people. 13, you need to realize that a certain person or persons can't get away with throwing another person in the garbage, which is exactly what Friga and Scon did to Jeff.

He DESERVED this gig and it was going great according to ALL parties at least ON the record, Cain included.

I don't understand the shit and I can't believe that it's not some petty ass that can't be fixed.
They won't be able to resist JSS if he can just get that live audience with Schon/Cain. And for the love of Christ if/when this is fixed, no more JSS/band Biz should be online unless HE posts it.

Maybe you ought to start a prayer thread, and Journey T shirt day, to align the planets and get Rich and Rusty to sing kumbaya in unison, and get the Journey gods to all meditate.....oh Lord, you are the ultimate optimist.

I hope Rich and/or Rusty go to South Bend. I'd love to fuck with either/both of them. Especially Rich Meyers. That guy is a total bubble of cum.

"Listen up"... Life is eternal. The mere fact that you are, means that you always have been and shall never cease to be. You did not begin in this place, time or even on this planet. In essence, you are just passing through. Please don't screw it up.

The force that is life, is, by its very nature a universal wayfarer. At its most rudimentary form, it may drift as, sub-isotopic particles, on the shifting winds of the cosmos for thousands of ions. Before being deposited in the saline acids of some volatile virgin planet.

By the basic elemental of biology, all chemically activated life forms, must conform to the existing ecomodus and composture of that planetary body's nurture factors. Thus, the planet did not create the essence of life, but simply supplied nutrients to its aspirations.

Aside from cognizant colonization of new planets, life must start from bio-scratch. Thus was our coming. Yet , you must understand that the trilobites, the mud-skipper and the simian may one day, walk on water, heal the sick, build pyramids and transmit satellite visions from their home on other planets.

When a life form evolves to a cognizant level, it begins to question the way of its being. Next, it seeks to discern its purpose in the scheme of things. It learns to discover the mystic resonance of its surroundings, and the nature of things all around. By and by, the life forms begins to actively seek to alter the natural direction of its surroundings and thus its destiny.

Mysterious objects in the sky, strange visitors and weird dreams leads the life form inevitably into the perceived realm of the extra and paranormal dimensions. Priests, priestesses and other mystic dreamers arises. Cognizant thought and directed curiosity, leads to discovery and invention. Invention leads to art and linguistic expression. Linguistic expression leads to concepts of omnipotence, concepts of Gods.

The time will come when the life form will gain the ability to either fashion a true utopia or the ability to bring about total destruction. The choice that intelligent life form makes, will dictate the measure of its progression or decline. We now stand on the brink of the ultimate decision. It is only by the contents of our spiritual wish and honorable endeavors, shall we endure to weather the coming storm of extreme Earth and sociological changes. We don't have much time left. Will we seek tolerance and reason or intolerance, greed and death?

May peace be with you.

No, I'm NOT optomistic but I will not stop holding out fruitless hope of his return...until the first Journey thing WITHOUT him happens. YOU putting nothing but "let's go to war with the band" shit out doesn't help.

If they rehired JSS.. that would go a long way to removing my negative feelings towards those two. I can't honestly think of any other scenarios that would have the same effect.

Me too! Jeff is going to go on with bigger and better things...... And you are exactly right about Friga and Scon. But you know what? I don't think they were man enough to handle it in the proper way, and in the long run, Jeff is much better off..

But I will have to thank them (and my friend Cindy) for introducing me to Jeffs sound! If they hadn't replaced Steve A with Jeff, and I didn't go to the concert in KC, I would have never heard Jeff. So I will give them credit for that!
