Good news by me.

Dave patiently waiting his deserved turn and not fucking it up yet. 8)

If Edward gives Dave 1/2 a chance this band will kick fucking ASS again.

And you know what? If Eddie DOES let Dave be Dave, one of the happiest Van Halen fans in the world will be Sammy Hagar.

Then you obviously are stupid and have no f'n idea what this photo possibly means for us true old fashion die hard Van Halen Fans.
I figured in just posting the link that most would be able to figure out what what this could mean.
If you have figured out what this could mean and are just trying to be an a$$ and get a reaction, well, I couldn't resist this time.
If you don't care, why are you visiting a VH forum.. :?:  :?
Stupidest comment I have seen yet about this photo.
Sorry Andrew, but what a shmuck response to something that could mean very good things...having a shit day and was looking forward to eciting responses, not one from a twat.
THIS IS A HUGE SIGN IN MY OPINION.

Good to see Al and Dave hanging out together...I guess. :?

But it's never been about Dave and Alex getting along. Or Dave and Mike getting along. It's always been whether Dave and Eddie can get along. And without Mike, who was always the "peacemaker", I'm betting that the Dave and Eddie relationship will implode once again. It's just a matter of time. The big question, in my mind, is if they'll actually get some shows in before it happens.

This is an AWESOME sign. I've always believed this was going to happen again - just a matter of when. Obviously, for Ed to have "approved" of Dave and Alex hanging out together is a great indication that things are working out. You know, when guys in their 50's get back together for a reunion, they're more mellowed about musical and personal differences. I've seen it a million times.

I bow to your infinite righteousness, and throw myself at your god like mercy to forgive my unholy comments against all things DLR.

But until I see some footage of a show, I'll never believe it's gonna happen.

Hagar's on record in several places saying he's pulling for dave to get this shot.

Granted I may have slightly exaggerated the "happiest" thing but I love the fact that while he wants NOTHING to do w/ VH as as fan he wants to see the dave reuinion come off.

AR saw DLR and his band about 6 mos. or so ago and said he sounded fine. Of course, not in his prime, but far from shot.

Dave's 50, that's all. His voice is in better shape than Joe Elliott's is because DLR has taken voice lessons since the mid-70's. He sounds good.

And it was never about Dave being like a tenor or something like perry or Jimi Jamison or dennis deyong.

It was about at times bluesy, gritty, and at times dark and menacing vox.

Gotta love a Jew who can sing the blues, baby. 8)

Ahh, I follow you. Yeah, I concur...I've seen similar statements by Sammy saying that he wants to see a classic VH tour get pulled off well.

I still think this band is missing the big picture...They've got a golden opportunity to do a 'night' with VH. Take both Sammy and Dave out on the road with Ed, Al and Mikey...split the revenue 5 ways...do one set with Sammy, one with Dave....and play for 3 hours, an hour and a half each.

There isn't a Van Halen fan in the world that wouldn't pay top dollar to see that kind of tour....and they'd sell out every arena doing it.

Not a half bad way to go out, if retirement is the next step....

...and those rumblings crop up every year or so too.

that would only be the biggest, greatest tour any band ever did, EVER.

...Yep. Other than that Modern English / English Beat double bill back in '83. Man, the Wendy's parking lot in Nashua, NH, was rockin' that Tuesday afternoon!

That guy has mentioned so many times how he would never work with dlr and how they werent in it for the money like KISS.
Also mentioned that he wasnt into ripping off his fans.
If your into a bunch of 50yr olds that couldnt give a rats ass about there fans go and see van halen.
This isnt 1984..its 2007 and VAN HALEN ARE FINISHED.

You're wrong, dude. Edward is better, Alex is fired up, and Dave NEVER lost ANY of his drive and passion.
