I agree with everything except "Don't fight it"! Ugh!!! "Little girl" was definitely on the wrong album though! I found the "Dream after dream" cd in a record store, and bought it for about $20.00. I was all excited to get it out to the truck to give it a listen. I put it in and thought WTF??? The ONLY redeeming quality about that cd was "Little girl"!
I agree with you about the song though, it could have been a hit if it had been on a regular album. I'll never understand why Journey put that thing out???

tammy wrote:"Dream after Dream" is different because it was made for a movie. I do love it, 'tho...it has an elusive quality to it. And, wasn't "Little Girl" on the B-side of a 45 - so, it may have been heard more than we think?

Amen to that! I loved "Troubled child". Very dark and melodic. I think that was my favorite era. His voice (IMHO) had hit its "Sweet spot" to my ears. it was a little more grown-up, had some rasp to it, yet he could still hit all of the notes! Man I miss those days!!!

I love how his voice, at the end of the deep notes still had that lilt from Escape and prior.

Hey Scarygirl, not trying to be a smart-ass, but what is a lilt? I've never heard that word before(and I'm too lazy to look it up!).
