A total freak accident, and truly the saddest thing I've ever been exposed to. The ball wasn't even thrown all that hard and if it would have been even an inch to either side nothing would have happened.

To top it off that it happened on Father's Day was just the topper of it all. Fortunately they are a strong family and have been able to get through it. I just get sick even thinking about it, but this thread reminded me of it.
