Apparently not. They seem to believe everything Perry says EXCEPT when he says he's not going to be getting together with Journey again. Makes no sense.

It's like most of the words of Perry are the Bible to them. The times he says he is not going to rejoin Journey are more like the Apocrypha or something like that.

Um excuse me. Big time loon here. Not only do I believe he will not rejoin Journey, I have believed it for YEARS. Furthermore, I don't want him to rejoin Journey.

As for Mike, yeah he's late to the party, but he's just trying to fit in here. He seems like a nice sweet guy, just a bit innocent. He would probably be better off on a heavily moderated forum like BT singing kumbaya & drinking koolaid but we all know that is kaput so.... let's try to be nice to him here. He's not MR-nastified like the rest of us.... yet.

You are 25 years out of time. Journey and SP were an 80's act. Sorry to break it to you, but the 80's have gone.

i love a lot of 70's and 80's and bought a lot of good music back then.i remember buying guns n roses-appetite for destruction in the first couple weeks when it first come out i think i was 13 or so in 87 or 88.my friends didn't understand all they talked about was def leppard-hysteria.a year later they all understood.i never did really like the alternative stuff in the 90's so i guess i'm stuck in the 80's too.i started going to concerts around '88 or so.if journey would've done one more album and tour after '86 i would've gotten to see them.i've seen styx, bad company, ted nugent,boston,kiss,ac/dc,joan jett, aerosmith, rush and on and on but never got to see journey live.

I wish I had seen them back then, too, but didn't really get into Journey until the mid 90s.

Ya know..I really get tired of the comments that this music or that music is outdated or sounds too 70's or 80's. Heck, if you like the music, it shouldn't matter. There are 70's, 80's, 90's, and modern music that I can listen to over and over again. If it's good music, it's timeless.

There is some music that I like that does sound dated, though. "Pour Some Sugar on Me", for instance. I loved it back in the day and still do, to some degree, but it definitely sounds dated.

I LOVE my frilly puffy shirt that looks like something Adam Ant would wear. I think I'll get my hair cut like the women in the Human League next. That would look great on me. My makeup looks like the chick in the SW video. I can't give this up. I just can't!

Early Billy Joel sounds very dated to me, but I love listening to Piano Man, Captain Jack, or Uptown Girl.

Where did you come from?

He sucked on the whole last qtr of the FTLOSM tour. Hasn't sung live except for the WS Championship since which hurt my ears. What is done is the studio is NOT LIVE, it's Edited and Redited hundreds of times and fixed to sound good. I could go into a studio and sing a song good. So throw that stupid bullshit that he sounded good singing backup vocals. It just doesn't fly. He's toast.

Perry won't go back to Journey because he's not stupid. They'd chew him up and spit him back out again if he even tried to slow down the tour monster. The voice is an instrument that requires rest inbetween performances, unlike drums, piano, bass and guitar. He knows how this ensemble functions, and he won't put himself into that kind of situation again. Burned him once, won't burn him twice.

Here's a question, a general one - not necessarily related to SP but....

With the music business the way it is today, isn't it possible to put out music via, say iTunes, without necessarily having to tour behind it? For instance, a singer could want to make some new music but that is their only interest, wouldn't tour if they could. Lots of new bands put their music out on the 'net, does anyone see a time where singers/musicians can just create (much like the Beatles after 1966 - studio only, no tours).

(Sorry if I'm off topic, but wanted to get some feedback on this)
