Remember, earlier you told me NOT to tell you what to do. I wanted to tell you at that point to get the hell out of my topic since I answered all of your Loon questions, and yet you kept asking the same things in different ways. I was polite and gentlemanly about answering your questions and you hijacked a real Journey related topic with song parodies. I have a great sense of humor and right now I'm laughing my balls off at all you fuckers that actually believe that Perry will EVER rejoin these assholes much less do anything more than backing vocals for other artists. That to me is the funniest thing I hear on these boards on a daily basis and it always makes me chuckle. So thanks for the laughs.
Um excuse me Jeff. I did NOT ask u the same questions in different ways. I was trying to get the other details out of u. The ones u posted were extremely scant. I assume he was interviewed for more than 10 seconds? If so he said more than u posted & I'd like to know what. I'm a loon, I hang on his every word. I admit it! As for the song parodies, I did not start that. Yes, I participated, but I did not start it. Do not accuse me of things I don't do.
For the 5th time today, I do NOT now & have NEVER believed that Perry will rejoin Journey. How many times & how many ways do I have to say that before u understand it. But u wonder why I don't believe Perry is retired when he has NEVER said that? I have said here to u today, in other threads today, in other threads all along since I've been on this forum, & also to u in chat at the Annex, that I do not believe Perry will ever rejoin Journey. Yet, u continue to accuse me of believing that.
As for him possibly singing more than backing vocals, I do hold out hope for that. Laugh at me all u want but as I said before, I have very good reason to believe that he may do more than that. Will it come to pass? I don't know. But until I know it hasn't, I'll hope for it.

I think that should finally put the Perry is coming back bullshit to rest.
Thanks for posting what you heard. Love hearing about Steve and what he has to say. I don't expect him to rejoin Journey. Like he sayes that ended in 1998. But I don't expect him to ever sing solo on a stage again either. That part I think he is retired from. Which is why he can't say he's retired. Because from some parts he isn't retired from. Besides, that man couldn't really walk away from music. It's in his DNA for crying out loud. So he can still do backup singing and producing. Which I think he loves doing. Plus helping the new talent that's just coming up.

Ride Jackson's popularity with American Idol and parlay that into free promotion and a set on the show. The rabid popularity of that garbage show would immediately make the album AT LEAST double platinum. Round these guys up, do a 30 city tour promoting the album, give Journey a "ha ha fuck you guys" and ride off into the sunset on top.

Yeah, singers have never been more popular on TV. He should let that show help him sell some records. He'd be a fool not to. I am sure he has considered it, and the fact that he has not already done so tells me that it ain't happening.

He DID try it. The current members of "Journey" nixed it ("Journey Night" with him singing). I'm sure he's now fired up about some sort of "plan B." Maybe this is the motivation he needed.

Get out of town!!!![]()
I never heard this before! They nixed it???? What twits!!!!!!!!!!!! When Bo Bice sang Gavin DeGraw's "I Don't Wanna Be" on AI, the album sales soared for DeGraw the next day. So now I can thank Frig and Fro for no Steve Perry on AI. And the "hits" just keep on comin'....

But basically when it came to the Journey questions, he seemed genuinely agitated about having to talk about Journey and the singer issue yet again. He reiterated for the umpteenth time that he is content with his life as it is right now.
bluejeangirl76 wrote:Finally. I've been waiting for him to blow his top about it. It's long overdue for as much shit as he's always dealing with about it. If I were him, I probably would have exploded years ago and just said "Oh my god, HOW many times do I have to repeat 'May 8, 1998' before you fuckers get it through your heads that I'm NOT going back to Journey?"![]()
And I think all that business about him being content with his life is a very polite way of saying "Will you people get off my ass already? If I want to sing, you'll hear from me, but currently, my thrice weekly trips to Starbucks are fulfilling enough for me, now if you'll excuse me, the ass print on my sofa is once again becoming shallow and I must go correct that, so I'll be in my house with my Frappucino staring at my piles of money. Good day!"
Of course he's too much of a gentleman to say it like that, but I wouldn't blame him in the least if he did. I mean seriously, he knows where to find us should he wish to announce any kind of project. For now though he's made it more than clear that he's not about to sing record or perform.

Or that he know his voice could never handle the tours they undertake every year.
He seems to simply have no interest in being in a rock band again. I am sure there is a lot of B.S. that goes along with it, and it just isn't worth it for him.

We need to hear stuff like 'You Better Wait'. Or else 'Go Away......'
