OT- Online Fantasy Football League - Any takers?

Postby AR » Thu Jul 26, 2007 9:59 am

Also posted in the JSS thread.

Jrny1/Soto All The Way came up with an idea for a fantasy football league over at my site. Dean and I came up with a list of people who we thought might be interested. Just gauging interest here.

This is what was discussed:

I'm going to post this about Fantasy Football on all the sites tonight at Dean's suggestion about this league:

Possible FFparticipants

Dean
AR
stu
dcvader
joe
nig
st john
chief
raiderfan
strangegrey
skylorde
Liam
Rick
larry
JSS
ed(Jrny1)

there's 16

There are some girls too that love fb. Blondie, blue radio girl

If we make a post (same post in Journey, BA, JSS forums, we can easily get 15 or so
What 40, 50 dollar buy in?

So if anyone listed wants in, say so, or if anyone not listed is interested - just say so. This was just a list of the people Dean thought would be interested in playing. An ESPN online league can accommodate up to 20 teams

I'm already in for two others, I think that's enough. I like the new sig pic dude.

50 dollar buy in.

Fuck yes.

Blondie will get in. She's rich and a republican so she has bank. Get fucking Norm in. Old fucker is an Eagles fan, so he will draft McNabb, NcNabb will get hurt, and we'll take his bread. Norm is the King.

Sounds like fun but I am already involved in another league and one is enough to handle at a time.

I need to limit myself to one league at a time. I spend too much time as it is without being involved in multiple leagues.

I will start one in ESPN. It's free, unless we want to put up an ante like $50.00, $25.00 or whatever.....We could give the winner the money and maybe some type of trophy or super bowl ring that they have for fantasy. Let me know. I will continue to set it up in ESPN.

Count me in if it's a live draft. That ranking players crap sucks! Buy in amount sounds good too!

I'm interested but I can't cough up any money for it. I'd like to at least learn how to do it and if I end up winning by some miracle..nobody owes me anything if that's cool? I've never played FF, so again..I'd like to learn. :-)

I typically lurk here, but occasionally post. Couple of things...You may want to cap the league at 12 teams. Beyond that the talent pool gets real weak. Live drafts are the way to go, ranking DOES suck. I'm already in 2 leagues (commissioner of one), but if you can't get 12 'Journey regulars' let me know. $50 is no problem.

Anybody who's an EAGLES fan probly knows what you know too, Dean.

That McManBoobs MAY not play until late-Sept and even THEN will prolly reinjure his overweight, overrated body again and therefore Norm prolly won't draft him.

How 'bout it, Moose?

You gonna join this league, 13? This would be a lot of fun if we get the right mix of people.

How many teams do you guys have so far? I guess I could possibly be pursuaded to join. I suck at the other fantasy sports but I generally do pretty well in football.

I wouldn't worry about having 16 teams. Certain guys will draft their hometown guys anyway.

Raiderfan, I think pretty much you wil get your hands on Andrew Walter. Shouldn't be a problem, and Liam, you can have Romo.

Just my 2 cents...I do think 16 is too many. 12 is about right.
