Was that at the Canal Room in NYC?
Yes it was.
I was at that show also, Evolution was incredible that night.
I heard that they are playing there again at the end of September, can't wait!
That was my first time seeing them. Are you saying they're not normally that good?j/k.
Apparently, they play the Canal Room every other month or so. I'll be there in September, guess I'm kinda hooked.
What I am saying is that they are ALWAYS that great!!!
Yes they will be at the Canal Room on Saturday September 29th, I know someone who works there, they will be put that date up on the Canal Room's web site in a couple of days, get your tickets early!!
Can you tell your friend that works there to fix the lighting. Those red and yellow lights are awful

Maro wrote:Eric, can You tell us if there are plans for this amazing line-up to tour behind Ramos/Hugo album?
It would be sad to stay only on studio project level...
If you guys go on tour, then people might also hear how would Hugo do some songs Josh made with Kevin Chalfant in The Storm and Two Fires...

Marc Brunengraber wrote:I joined this board for two reasons - I'm a huge fan of Journey's music (formerly of the band itself, but not after the way they shamefully treated JSS), but I am also a huge fan of Hugo's, and I wasn't going to sit around and watch assholes trash him simply because they prefer a different singer. Hugo is a magnificent singer.
While I think Hugo would be FAR better for Journey than Jeremey, and that his voice is way more Perry-like than ANYONE out there other than the man himself, I'd much rather hear and see Hugo tour with Josh and Eric, and play a mix of Hugo, Ramos, Journey, The Storm, and Valentine material. Sadly, with the U.S. market being all about rap/hip-hop and tribute bands, that probably won't happen.

How can you listen to that? and say it's any good. Crazy apes the lot of you. He's just as bad as Goran Edman from Yngwie Malmsteen, if not worse. Amatures trying way too hard.
How about some real talents out there? these guys would probably get cut from the American Idol auditions in the first couple weeks, case closed.

Now for some positive feedback. Jeremy Hunsicker is a good singer, Kevin Chalfant another good singer - both have strong vocals, and don't have to rely on falsetto or sounding really quite to get them out of trouble, that's real talent.

Hey man, I can understand that Hugo "may not be your cup of tea" you have the right too your opinion. But to say he is terrible is just a stupid remark, Hugo has a temondous amount of fans around the world that would have to disagree with you.
StoneCold wrote:What I don't understand is why some keep harping on his "Journey Tribute" side in negative light. As he mentioned in the orginal comment, not getting the Journey gig allowed him to do his solo stuff.
As listed earlier, he's got 5 albums of his own that are non Journey related. Fronting Valentine, Open Skyz and his 3 solos.
As for the tribute work, I'm glad there's someone like him that can do such a good tribute to Journey. What's wrong with it? It's a tribute and a good one.
He's better off doing that than fronting the real band anyway. He has more control of his time to do solo work.
