OT: Good News For Paris Hilton

Postby T-Bone » Tue Jul 31, 2007 1:55 pm

Yes... Another Paris thread, but at least this one has a GREAT ending!!!!

Paris Hilton loses inheritance

PARTY princess Paris Hilton is $60 million out of pocket after her billionaire grandfather - appalled by her jail term for drink-driving offences - axed her inheritance.

Family patriarch Barron Hilton was already embarrassed by his granddaughter's wild behaviour - notably when her home sex video was leaked on the internet.

But the 79-year-old considered her 23-day sentence last month the last straw.

"He was, and is, extremely embarrassed by how the Hilton name has been sullied by Paris," says Jerry Oppenheimer, who wrote a biography of the clan called House Of Hilton.

"He now doesn't want to leave unearned wealth to his family."

Hilton senior, the only member of the family left with a sizeable stake in the huge hotel chain, has let it be known that he intends to donate to charity the $2.4bn he will gain from this month's sale of the company to private equity firm Blackstone.

The money will go to the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation, the charity set up in the name of the founder of the family business.

Yeah, now she'll have to make due with the $400 million she already has in the bank thanks to her father's hard work.

My thoughts.
I like to sit out on the front porch, where the birds can see me, eating a plate of scrambled eggs, just so they know what I'm capable of.

I swear I try not to judge others (as I'm messed up enough myself!) but this is the best news I've heard in a long time!!! I think he's the only one in the family with any sense!

If she got by on talent alone (Not including her porn skills), she'd be broke as hell!!! She's one of the only people I've EVER heard of that doesn't sing, act, play sports, own a huge company, or contribute to society in any way...that's a millionaire! ??? Never got that at all!

We could only be so lucky Andrew! I'm sure she'll be strutting her stuff as usual in no time! Were's the justice in this world, when someone like her has everything and appreciates nothing, yet others have nothing...but appreciate everything??? Life's cruel sometimes!!!

Now I see why she is trying to do nice things. She is trying to get back on the old mans good side. We should have known. She can not disappear fast enough to make me happy.

I do believe this thread could be linked to the innocenceVrespect thread...basically she isn't and hasn't any , not for herself, not for others, and certainly not for the man who WAS going to leave her an inheritance...ah well at least the old man has some sense and the dollars haven't sent him blind to brattish behaviour...good on the old fella I say! :-)

Paris may have a lavish lifestyle, but she definitely is not a role model for any young girl , far from it...does this mean I don't have to see her face on my fish and chips paper anymore...!!! :D

Yeah I'm sure she's not going to be hurting. Too bad Daddy doesn't come to his senses and cut her off too.

well everyone has a view no matter how harsh it may be :) ...for me I just think she needs to be bought down a peg or two. Having lost several friends on the road I would not wish anyone young or old to be hit by a bus, it really does make one hell of a mess .....of lives and of the road
