This is one of the best threads on the board and I'm so glad to see it up here on top again.

Loved the Germany pics Laura. My dream vacation would be to come to Europe and bask in the antiquity. It'll never happen though.

It was also nice seeing Scarygirl, Rick, epresly, Behshad & family, Mon, Escape Artist(So that nic's as much about prestidigitation as Journey? :wink:

) and anyone else who's new pics I saw.

This thread is why the Journey board needs to remain. We're a community and I don't want it to be dispersed.

I went to Germany a few weeks ago.. was my first plane ride. i went to see my uncle and stayed with him for a week and a half. It was pretty funn.

I was honestly the best skateboarder everywhere i went. I was skating this school and just did an ollie (jumped with my board) and all these kids were acting like i was pro or something and they all wanted to shake my hand. They tried talking to me in German, and then giggled when i said i couldn't speak German lol.

I got to see some neet castles, skate a few skate parks, my uncle works at Mercedes so i got to get a tour in there which was kind of kool, and the black forest is like everywhere and i love nature stuff.. Also while i was there i went to my first real concert lmao.. Im not a big crowd person.. But i saw Aerosmith which was really awesome.. I loved the harmonica playing and when the drummer player a song on the guitar players guitar with his drum sticks!!

All in all it was pretty sweet! And people drive fast! haha no speed limits on a few roads there.

Here's a couple of pics of me...the 1st picture was taken at Crocodile Rocks a couple of years ago. For those of you not familiar, it's a dueling piano bar. Basically, there's two pianists on stage at all times, and they take requests of songs, and are somewhat like comedians at the same time. They're popular out here on the East coast! I was there for a birthday party for some friends, got drunk and was asked to come up on stage! I was pretty embarassed, but had fun once I got up there, and played 3 or 4 songs for 5-600 people. Was a lot of fun! The manager asked me if I wanted a job once I got off! LOL!!!

The second picture was myself with Charlie Daniels in his tour bus. He played a show for the soldiers that night, and I was one of the people helping out for the event so I got to hang with him and the crew. Very cool!!!

had to post again, because I looked at the pictures from my last post and they looked terrible! I thought they'd look a little better than that, but I guess you only get so much from a scanner! Oh well. This first picture is of my wife and myself getting in a limo for a party we went to a year or so ago. It was a GREAT night! :oops:

This next picture is for you Deano!!! It proves your "redneck from South Carolina" arguement! LOL!!! What can I say? :lol:

For the record though...I'm actually from Oregon and Canada. I've only been here since 1993, but I've been assimilated into the redneck life thanks to my wife! :lol:

Thanks Rick! I've always been a big outdoors person! We have a lot of fun. For Thanksgiving week this year, I've rented a cabin in the mountains of NC for the family. We went there a few years ago, and LOVED it! Beautiful place. We'll be around a campfire, playing boardgames, eating some great food and just having fun! I may even do some trout fishing while we're there. I LOVE trout!

Damn I wish it was THIS week!!! :lol:
