I take the view that if missus doesn't 'accommodate' me, she's the one missing out.

Oh crappy day! I'm gonna miss the Doro Pesch show this weekend! :( Why did the family car have to break down right now? :(

Friend doesn't trust his old car. Feels it couldn't make the trip.

Is it such a far drive? Or such a bad car?

It's got 250K Miles on the engine and the transmission is pretty close to not working. Between that and his inexperience with a standard...

But, oh well. There will be greater concerts later this year, and at least I can save up for those instead.

Back from a couple days festival/holiday in Germany. If anyone has a chance to see Heaven and Hell, you simply must go. They were absolutely fantastic. They played for almost two hours and every second was total bliss. I had been wanting to see this line up one day, but imagined it would be impossible them ever getting back together, and then they made it happen anyway!

No festival pics; I made them all on film, but I'll post some other ones in the photothread.

edit: Photobucket doesn't want to upload... I'll try again tomorrow.

Yeah, it's been a while that we all sat in this bar...:( I found some 'music' to ease the waiting.

I apologize in advance...

I wondered myself if the tavern was abandoned...

It's open bar, with the tab going to the absent bartender.

Yes, and we have been very lucky, considering. I do hope they'll compensate the people who didn't get to see the bands they came for. (many people spent 4-5 hours in a 10 km traffic jam to the parking meadow)

Yeah, saw 'em last Thursday.....they were fantastic, especially Dio. And I loved the way Vinnie Appice hits those drums!

My favourite songs were 'Computer God', 'I', and an extended 'Heaven and Hell' was terrific!!

As I said, Dio was fantastic - that voice is just amazing.....Tony seemed a bit shy, just flashing a couple of grins at the audience and at Dio occasionally.....Geezer really just stood on the spot and did his thing, and Vinnie was amazing!! One of the best concerts I've ever seen and we were only 10 metres or so from one side of the stage - when Dio came over our side, the crowd went apeshit!

I'll post some pics soon, hopefully. My mate took some with his phone, so I hope they turn out good. What a night! :D

I've got five, possibily six concerts, on my 'to see' list. But if I'm lucky, I'll see two of them at the most. Money's been piss poor for me this year.

If only you could be in two places at the same time... Pity you won't be able to see them, but it's great that you'll be playing yourself, and I hope the sales will go well.
How is the Paypal option coming along btw? I don't mind to send the money in cash if that's easier.

Yeah, we saw an unbelievably good show as well. Dio's voice is beyond amazing really... Awesome. Iommi didn't seem that shy to me really, more like refined and subtle, like someone who has everything under control, but doesn't like the spotlight. Hmm, maybe shy is the word after all... His guitarsound and playing certainly wasn't shy; it has such presence.

I hope the pics turn out okay. Love to see them!

Will be talking to a guy at our gig this saturday about online distribution...he already has a site set up and he'll probably buy some off us upfront...so i can give you guys a link pretty soon hopefully...as for cash...the amount of stuffing around getting money changed (not to mention the bullshit bank charges here) wouldn't be worth it for any of us.
Failing that i'll definately set up the paypal thingy.

I'll definately be getting the Heaven and Hell live dvd when it comes out later this month.

Okay! I'll wait and see what comes available 8)

Yeah, just three more weeks or so until the DVD! Excellent!

Well, I just thawed the freezer! We've been lazy enough otherwise... saw some friends, got drunk, lay in the sun (where has it gone btw???) watched a couple of movies. Very relaxing, which is very, very good. Work has been so busy and until this break I hadn't fully realised how much I needed some time off.
