Yeah, I am only interested in seeing them if they get the entire original gang together again.

Is the VanPornMusic Eddie wrote going to be in the setlist? Might be a way to get Dave a blow for his vox.

I saw 'em in 1982, Diver Down tour. Fantastic show, even though DLR forgot some lines.

Nig, I understand the sentiment...I really do. Fuck, live VH w/ Roth is something that I missed in 84 for some reason or another...and was too young to catch it any earlier...so for me, it's something that I've never seen...and this is my chance.

However, I'm having a real hard time plunking down cash without Mikey on bass....and if I did, I'd be a fucking hypocritical asswhipe...because I refuse to see Journey for the idiotic personel bullshit they've pulled as of late. Why would I not hold Eddie (just as egotisitcal a guitar midget as Neal) to the same standard?

It would...I voted with my feet in 2004 with VH....due to ticket prices. However, missing them in 04 didn't eat me up...even though I prefer VH with Hagar to Roth (but love em both)...After seeing what a mess Eddie (and his playing) was on that tour, I'm glad I didn't sour my good memories of him, with seeing him on that tour.

Granted, Eddie appears to be sober and normal these days....but how long's that going to last. He might turn into an alcoholic mess by the time this tour hits NYC....but I guess you never know.

Aside from his 1-sided seemingly unprovoked fued with Michael Anthony.

It has a lot more to do with the fact that Mikey didn't call Ed/AL when their mom passed. Even more then the fact that Mikey and Sammy were always friends and what Mikey is doing with Sammy now.
Mikey is a good guy. Great to the fans, and even proved so more when he gave up some rights, under Eddie's doing, to tour with them in 2004 for the fans.

My suggestion. If you really want to see this pick a date early in the tour!!!! With these volitle personalities the time bomb will start ticking and the enevitable blowup will happen that will derail this.......

Gail

PS And yes I will go, because if I hear from friends that the show was kickass and I didn't go I'll be real pissed at myself but then again if the show sucks....Oh Welllll......Yaz roll the dice................

I guess it'll happen eventually, but without MA it will be like a pie without the cherry.Good, but not the same taste.
I'd go to see them if I would have the chance, cuz I love Eddie, but touring without Mike is not going to please too many fans.

This tour is literally a joke. Anyone that would go see a much declined
drug addict guitarist, his 8 year old son and a lead singer that has been
housed at the local YMCA for the last 10 or so years needs to eat a long
john stuffed with anthrax. I can't wait for the massive derailment of this
"has been" act. I'm gonna love telling you "I told ya so." Boy, did Michael
Anthony get fucked.

Roth SUCKED bigtime the last time I saw him 4-5 years ago on the Sam and Dave tour so I wouldn't pay a penny to see him with Van Halen. Now if they hired Ralph Saenz....now I would buy tickets with him on vocals!

He could get away with being a permanently out-of-tune lead singer back in the 80s with all his antics but it just isn't as attractive or entertaining now that the dude is in his 50s and closer to being in a retirement home than he is in the back seat of a car with a 20 year old chick.

Yea, now that he can't do aerial Russian splits and end up touching one knee to his ear...
