seventeen years ago today on august 8,1990 in memphis,tennessee i got to see eric carr play one of his final shows with kiss.he was soon diagnosed with cancer and died on november 24,1991 the same day feddie mercury passed.......

wow , i cant believe its been so long ago.... i met Eric on the HITS tour,, i HATE the way kiss handled his firing and death... i didnt even hear that he had passed until a day later because Freddie got the news coverage...

i picked this album (the Great Pretender) up when it came out and HATED IT!! since then parts of it are great .. he takes this tune and really makes it his own.. the video is beyond horrible and he doesnt look like freddie,, still cool....

He passed away 2 weeks after my dad, who also died of cancer. Gosh 17 years is a long time. Yet it seems like it's all passed in the blink of an eye.

Another sad day in rock history. Paul Stanley did a really nice live interview with Scott Muni (WNEW-FM NYC) upon the death of Eric Carr at the time. I had the opportunity to see him in the hospital before he died. My Grandmother was dying of cancer at the same time and was on the same floor as him. in both cases a life lost way too soon.....
