The guy cracks me up, but he's certifiable proof that golf is absolutely not a sport.

We have had that argument at work. We finally agreed that it's a leisure activity. Obviously.

You BOTH are fucked up. Golf is a tough sport to play well. Sure anyone can play golf, but to play it well? Not hardly. Ed, the same thing can be said about softball. Hell, baseball players smoke in the dugout, chew and Babe fuckin Ruth mowed hot dogs between innings in the right fielf bullpen at Yankee Stadium, and drank beer during games, and baseball is one of the hardest sports to play.

Golf may not be a sport, but is sure as fuck witchcraft.

Clearly, basketball is the easiest sport to play. Any bafoon can play that shit.

PS- Rick, a new sport should be checking baggage to your layover airport, picking them up, and sprinting to your connecting flight...THAT would be cool. When I started at Amtrak, I deliverately checked bags to the wrong stations because the passengers were dicks. For instance, a rich couple in LA were heading to Portland, OR, and I sent their shit to Portland, Maine. HAHAHAHA, fuck em.

I've never intentionally mishandled someones luggage, but we did ship a snack machine to San Francisco one time because the prices went up. That kind of stuff is fun.

Frequently, someone has a departmental lunch in a conference room at our office. Invariably, they leave food crumbs, gravy drippings, etc. on the tables. We then scoop it up into an envelope and send it to them annonymously through interoffice mail. Four day old sausage gravy and deviled egg droppings are a nice gift to open when the mail comes in. :D

That's brilliant. We have maildrops too, I'll definitely remember that. Our workplace is wrought with people that won't clean up after themselves. I'm a neat freak, so it bugs the piss out of me.

Golf is a hard skill to master. It's still not a sport.

For the record, I'm not any good at it. I can hit a baseball 400 feet, but hit ground balls off the tee at a driving range.

There was a lot in the news a while back about that nutty wife of his, she ended up going to the slammer for a while. Her family is rumored to be low level mafia.

I love John Daly. I was watching him one day and he was struggling to keep it together. His hands were shaking so bad I don't know how he ever hit the ball. But he just kept at it. It was very touching because his fellow golfers gathered around him and I guess it helped because he played a pretty good game. Now he is one of my favorites.

Like it or not Golf is a sport. It requires, timing, hand eye cordanation, strength, believe it or not endurance. While I believe that hitting a baseball is the single hrdest thing too do, hit a 90MPH round ball, with a round bat very hard to do. thats why you can fail at hitting 7 out of 10 times and be a great hitter. Golf is very tough mentally also. I am a huge golf and baseball fan, they just require different skills. The golfers are training more than ever now. have you seen Tiger's arms ! For the record is Golf is way more of a sport than NASCAR, but I do beleive these guys are athletes ( the NASCAR drivers), they just have a different skills, but its not for me.

Go big John and bring this home !!!

Golf is definitely a 'sport'. Do you have to have the body of an Olympic gymnast to play it? No. But believe me the majority of professional players are in the gym every day with their trainers focusing on the individual muscle groups & flexibility especially for golf. These guys are up before dawn and they are practicing late into the evening after playing all day. They must wear pants and must walk every where. No shorts. No carts. Can you do this is 100 degree southern heat & humidity, and still maintain the sharpness that it takes to control a golf ball with a metal stick? No, not many can.

Professional golf is a very, very, very difficult sport.

Btw, I've played with JD, and although he may not look like it, this guy has more athletic talent in his spare tire than any of us will have in an entire life time. No $hit.

Well, you had me agreeing with you up until the last paragraph. Some of us on this board can play sports pretty well, and some of us have played at the college level, so I disagree with your last paragraph.

By the way, you can say shit here, no need for the fuckin $ sign.

If Daly wasn"t a golfer he could be a nose tackle!! Or they could put him in goalie pads an nobody could fit a puck by him!!!

I always thought about getting a fat fucking Sumu wrestler and let him sit on the goal line..no pucks could get past him, however, i believe a few teams would send some players in and "run him" a few times...That big blob of donuts would get happy feet and would retire in 3 games. Besides, where could you find a goalie mask to fit over the fat head?
