Crazy ass song. Never cared for it.

Crazy ass song. Never cared for it. Perry's voice is beginning it's descent to "maturity" here.

Probably an idiot that can't spell "losing". Anyway, I agree. Never thought much of that tune.

Oddly enough,I had this debate with someone a few years ago, someone who thought these lyrics made no sense.I disagreed, they do have a message.
I never saw "Tron",so I have no clue if the lyrics fit the movie or viceversa.
My take was that the song is about a man who's trapped in the cage of the (way too strictly) organized society and needs to escape in a world of his own in order to keep his sanity.
In the jungle I run tonight– "jungle" means his own wild thoughts, making no sense
No peace to logical life – he's restless, hates these rules/laws that society ("modern times") forced on him, this rigorous world where everything is only black and white,"no confusion, just wrong or right"...
A society where everyone is a face and a number (IDs),people who live by the rules that others come up with – some of which are "cynical lies",like the promise of a perfect world where there are "no problems,no compromise".
He's frustrated because it seems that everything has an explanation in the modern world/society.For everything there's a solution, meaning that others do the thinking for you.He wants something else…A "magic" place where you have no clue what's happening and that's exactly the magic of it.
You can find your OWN solutions, have "clear vision",your own "point of view",not be fooled by those "cynical lies" of the society.
The ending - "People reason/People reason/No escape" - is the best explanation of the song.
People are trapped into too much reasoning/logic/analysis,no one can escape this black & white world, well, unless you decide to think for yourself and live by your own rules/solutions.
I need to lie down now.

Which movie is worse - Tron or Dream After Dream?
