I love that song.
I like to sit out on the front porch, where the birds can see me, eating a plate of scrambled eggs, just so they know what I'm capable of.

I agree with Winds of March and Edge of the Blade.

From Escape, I think Mother, Father should have been a bigger hit, and If He Should Break Your Heart should've been a bigger hit from TBF as well.

I think "Something To Hide" is one of the most amazing and overlooked songs they ever wrote...

Infinity - Something To Hide/Winds of March (Just plain BEAUTIFUL the way it segues...both songs just meld VERY well)
Evolution - Lovin' You Is Easy (This song is THE song on this album)
Departure - People And Places (Listen to Perry's voice on this...c'mon)
Escape - Well...I don't know if it's underrated but...Escape
Frontiers - Edge Of The Blade (Just an all around rockin' song.)
ROR - It Could have Been You (The guitar work is good...but it's more the lyrics that get me)
TBF - Colors Of The Spirit (the guitar work is crisp and VERY good)

I can only handle listening to that song every so often. Decent song...but Lovin' You is Easy makes the album for me. :-)

For me Daydream and Still They Ride.

Still They Ride may be Perry's finest vocal ever. It's flawless.

Frontiers - Edge Of The Blade
ROR - Why Can't This Night Go On Forever

ASK THE LONELY!!!! - This wasn't a hit, and was hard to find at the time (on that 'Two of a Kind' Soundtrack). Probably their best 'rock' tune ever.

Yeah, I remember being blown away that Journey could put out songs like ATL and OTY that didn't make it onto albums. Other bands would have killed to write songs like that, and Journey cut the songs from Frontiers. That got me really excited to hear their next album. What a letdown.

This is almost as hard as picking favorites, then again, some of them are my favorites.

Infinity - Patiently
Evolution - Sweet and Simple
Departure - Good Morning Girl
Captured - Party's Over, Hopelessly in Love
Escape - Lay it Down
Frontiers - Troubled Child
ROR - Positive Touch
TBF - TBF

This would absolutely be my list too, except Frontier's era would be ATL, even though it didn't make it on the album.

I'm always amazed at the percentage of songs on each of their albums that are awesome. One of the only bands that I can listen to an entire album and love almost all the songs.

I will totally agree with you. Even with my less than stellar opinion on Neal personally, I believe he is one of, if not THE best melodic guitarist of all time. I do think, though, that it was Neal and SP together that made the magic, it isn't magic without the both of them, on either side.
