He'll certainly do the catalog justice, but so can Jeremey..

Jason Kelty on the other hand, is perfect! He gives me goose-bumps!!!!!

Sorry, he hasn't sold me on being a Journey frontman. The man does have some pipes though. He's an excellent singer! I think he would be great for a band like Survivor.

Dude,

I've listened to most of the Arnel stuff on here and I still don't get it. The accent aside, this guy still does absolutely zero for me. Do you guys really think this guy could pull it off? I don't think he's even in the ball park of a viable option.

I've listened to him sing several of Perry's Journey songs, Survivor with Jimi Jamison, Survivor with Dave Bickler, Boston with Brad Delp, and a couple of other songs, and the can flat out sing!

Seriously, this guy has a great voice and seems to be able to sing almost anything.

Dude,

I'm with you. The guy has range out the ass for sure and power. I've listened to the Boston, Survivor and Journey stuff too. I just don't get it. It's probably just me but I didn't like any of it. The Boston stuff especially rubbed me wrong. He can hit the notes but doesn't have the soul in my opinion. I'll take Hugo, Kevin or Jeremey any day over this guy

I can only speculate on explanation if it's a half step up. IF Arnel has trouble with the transition from his normal voice to falsetto, he may be stepping it up a half step to ensure he doesn't have transition issues from normal to falsetto voice. That's the only reason I can think of. Dude, you're a musician and vocalist if I remember right. What do you think? You probably know more than I do!

the song is in F here.. which the notes could be played in the realitive Dm..im just guessing that it would be easier for the piano player to KEY it in on his keyboard.. OR the guitar player could play the solo in Dm instead of C#m,, realitive speaking ,, of course.. 8)

OR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! that little waltz intro they did was in Fmaj,, AND the dang keyboard player started the song in the WRONG KEY... after the first .."faithfully....." the guitar player very timidly strikes that first note,, and then BLOWS the solo.... because hes got the solo memorized in Emaj,, and , on the fly, is trying to transpose it into Fmaj.. its just a half step difference, but a pain in the neck in front of people ect......notice Arns face trying to sing that ending ,, . stinking keyboard players......

I'd still prefer that they get Kevin Chalfant. But I can definitely live with this Pineda guy.

Ok, listen up gatorzone, I'll only say this once. I would rather see Hugo front Journey than this guy. With that said, I think he has an excellent voice, but his accent kills it. In "Amazing", he sings "I lost my greep". He does Steven Tyler very well, but again, the accent destroys it. I will remain with my aforementioned preferences and say that I would prefer to see Journey with 1) Steve Perry, 2) JSS, 3) Jeremey Hunsicker. Now, 4) Hugo. Arnel is a great singer, but... well you know the rest.

I'm with you on Chalfant, Jeremey or Hugo. I'm not good with Arnel, the dude just doesn't have the vibe in my opinion. The weird thing is I can't explain it. He can hit the notes but I just don't get it. Maybe it's his delivery?

"Tell It To My Heart" from Time On Earth.

A great non-Journey Journey song.
