'Ere ya go.....I have to apologise for the time this is taking - I'm running on about 1 MegaBits per second on Australia'a piss poor 'broadband' right now. Ironically it was better in fucking Port Hedland!!

 It sounds even as if he has integrated as part of the song! The riffing wasn't quite what I had expected, I think I assumed it would be faster. :?

I am amazed every time I see the way he looks... so much hair...

Hey, you're not in Port Hedland anymore?! Congrats, I assume? Or just a holiday?

1 megabits per second is quicker than I am getting at the moment. I only see a speed like 4KB/s when the page loads.

Oh, I like In This River very much. Thanks for the link!

Oh....yeah!! We're living in Perth right now.....bit of a fucking change!!!! Yeah in Hedland we were routinely getting 54MBPS....here it fluctuates very much.

It all happened pretty fast.

I suppose there are worse surprises than that one! Though you must have left behind the fastest internet connection on the planet! I don't think I've ever seen such a speed over here.

I checked out Suicide Messiah btw; very Ozzy! Quite alright as well. Do you know if both songs are on the same record?

My ATOW is Kotipelto "Serenity." I'll say it again, his solo stuff is better than Stratovarius.

I've been listening to a stack of cds I borrowed from my bro. I can't pick an AOTW at the moment because I'm not sure which one is the best cd yet.

I've been listening to a heap of old 70's compilations. A blast from the past.

Thanks Soloud. Got it in the mail earlier this week. Not very impressed with the album. It's not as good as Eclipse, but I'll have to give it a few more listes to see if it improves.

I actually liked this one better, musically it has more of that folk/acoustic stuff they mix in and I like that

My AOTW currently is a number of cds released by the band Kamelot.

How little have I been paying to attention to music lately? I thought Kamelot was another Euro power metal band...they're from Florida!!! Who would've thought than an American band could do power metal better than most of the Euro scene?

It only shows just how little promotion good metal gets here in the states. Even local heroes are virtually unknown even by power metal fanatics like me.

Their singer is Norwegian so there is the euro influence there, but yes, one of the few good power metal bands that are american.

Most of the promotion is on the internet these days I think... Don't know how it is where you are, but over here you won't hear a band like them on the radio, and I haven't seen a dedicated rock show on TV in ages. Not much music on TV anyway with MTV etc. broadcasting docusoaps most of the time...

If you can, try and pick up a copy of their live DVD, it's excellent. They are quite energetic on stage, and they have a great set list on there.

AOTW here is Iced Earth - Framing Armageddon. Doesn't blow me away but taken as a whole its not too bad. The vocalist (Tim Owens) does a great job on the songs where he is required to do the patented scream, but on anything slower his voice just doesnt have the depth, or warmth perhaps, that really fits that kind of song.

My AOTW goes to Era For A Moment "Realize." Normally, I don't think much of local bands. I have a certain ear for music that I'm looking for, and often when bands start out on a local level, they're missing that element of songwriting. Well, these guys have it! They're modern in sound, but they have a killer female singer and they've also got hooky choruses to back them up. They're based out of Massachussetts and are worth checking out.
