NIG You look at ITTOD as Zep's prime, though?

B/c it's interesting even though it was later in their career, I'm not so sure I'd disagree if you thought that was their prime.

The dvd footage from that tour is superior to the 73 MSG shows IMO.

Here's another tried and true part of the loon credo: When given "choose your own" types of scenarios ALWAYS UNFAILINGLY go with ROR, TBF or FTLOSM because those are the projects punxatawney steve had most control over.

Queen in their prime. I'd rather have seen them then Zep or Jimi.

Maybe The Game tour.

Right! It's what's been missing for the last decade. Everybody keep blaming the vocalists for Journeys downhill slide when it's the guys who are lost in a fog and can't see to save their ass.

HA!!!

#1) Name the idiots and expose them because....
#2) I could only aspire to as righteous about my Journey-related principles as Yak.

Thank you bastard loons for the compliment, though. :)

I saw it. Red Rocks, Colorado. 1974ish. it was good tho'.

(lest this not decrease my rocker chic reputation--I went to the concert because my friend played trumpet in the orchestra that appeared on stage with Barry Manilow) 8)

Journey, any and all of the Rolie years, but in particular

Comiskey Park, Chicago in '79

Just the boot of that is amazing,
can you imagine actually being there.

Seriously, if I could go back in time, I'd go to every single Journey show, lol.

they say elvis did his best ever concerts on his first vegas stint in '69.i'd love to have seen him then.i think he was number one in concert gross plus he had a number one single 'suspicious minds' and he was lean and fit.yep it was the mid seventies when he started to waste away.what a shame about what could've been.....

Hey HOTS,

For the love of the Boobage Booth, I am NOT RedJoe!!

I am none of those other posters you have accused me of being! Is it part of your fantasy world to imagine that I don't exist?

Why is it so hard for you to believe that there are large numbers of Journey fans sans Perry???

I have mixed feelings about the ITTOD era. Seems to me they started following a trend - in this case AOR - rather than starting them and breaking new ground at this time. But I'd agree that in terms of the live shows they were at their best in the late 1970s.
