OT: Obscure 80's songs

Postby NealIsGod » Wed Aug 29, 2007 5:49 am

The melodic rock defining artists thread got me thinking of songs from the early '80's, many by one hit wonders. Post some song titles here.

Anyone remember the song "Don't Let Him Know" by a group called Prism?

Benny Mardones - Into The Night
Sheriff - When I'm With You
John Parr - St. Elmo's Fire (Man in Motion)
Robert Tepper - No Easy Way Out

For a start... :D

OMG, yes. I saw them and Streetheart a couple times back in the day. Remember "Under my thumb" or "Snow White" from Streetheart?

Everybody knows that song. I mean the songs that you think most people never heard besides you.

Here's another: I Know There's Something Going On - Frida

Nice one... It's the song where Phil Collins is playing drums, right?
I have this on Agnetha & Frida - The Voice Of Abba compilation... found it very cheap at bargain bin...

Kix fan here, too, Nikki. Donnie Iris is still kicking ass in his 60's. I also like "Love is Like a Rock" by DI.

Ya, same as Prism. They played a lot of the same outdoor festivals and sounded quite similar. Kenny Shields had quite a distinctive voice though. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=brBUx5oE ... ed&search=

They were popular way back around the same time Honeymoon Suite, Helix, Triumph, Trooper and April Wine were.
