Agree as well.

With no Jeff in the pic, and Perry retired, it is time for the band to hang it up.

I voted "Someone Else" though.

It's simple, really.

Just go back to JSS.

I still feel if you get him, Schon and Cain in a room together it would happen.

You're funny. You get on the Loons for wanting to see Perry, Schon and Cain in the same room together. Personally, I wouldn't want to see either one (Perry/JSS) in the same room with them again. They both have way more class than that, I can't see either one of them stepping into the same room with those 2 again anyways. No wonder Perry only goes through his lawyers when he has to deal with them. Hopefully JSS will do the same.

#1) I admit it, I DON'T want perry anywhere NEAR Journey again
#2) You're too black and white about about the Perry/JSS good, Journey/Evil thing. Life works in grays.

#2) Not for me Red, have given them too many chances already. Eventually you hit that brick wall. Sorry, but not going to stick around while they look for their 6th singer. Enough is enough for me. JSS brought something different to the table, if I want to go see a tribute band, I'll go see one. But I do give them kudos for introducing me to 2 great entertainers whose careers I'll definately follow. :D

Has anyone heard Mickey Thomas sing a Journey song? Starship surely can't be drawing much. Last I heard him he can still sing great, just can't decide how he would be with Journey.

The sad thing is that we ALL know Journey as it was is dead. They might get another fill in, but they will spend the next few years (if that) doing the same old songs without THE VOICE that made those songs hits, the voice that made us love those albums in the first place.

Soto was primed, the buzz was there, WE were excited. His YouTube clips were excellent.

Journey is dead. But heck, they were a 70's and 80's band! Bon Jovi is still kicking, but they have the original members (I think...). And Jon can still sing most of the songs.

Like I always say - WE WILL ALWAYS HAVE '81.

They don't have the same bass player anymore. They fired Alex John Such many years ago. But you're right they can definately still bring it IMO! I saw them this year and Jon still sounded great. Granted, Jon didn't even try to go for the piercing high notes, like the one at the end of Runaway.....but it wasn't missed. They replaced it with Richie/Jon duelling guitars. Definately no lack of talent and business sense in that organization.

Same here, dude. I can't listen to anything past Crossroads now. Even then it was getting whiny.

Knox...the only one missing from the "semi-original" group is the bassist. Everyone else is still intact. Hope that helped. :-)

I don't know about whiny, but I do think it sounds more nasally.

Bon Jovi are GENIUSES for tapping into the Country music scene.

I follow Country now like I did Top 40 in the 70's and 80's. The song writing is much better than today's top 40, as is the singing talent, musicianship, and all around fun. Plus, it is not that twangy crap I hated so many years ago.

Country today is more like rock and roll in the 80 s. Somegood stuff out there.There is not much choice, you got rap, teen girl singers,and the alternative bands sounds like like a twenty year olds yelling at you. {I like them black shorts by the way}

LOL when I think of "grunge", I think of Nirvana, but that's cool, we all have different tastes. I meant I'd rather see more rock bands like that, than more Britney/Lindsay clones or at least ones that can sing.......like Christina Aguilara.

I had heard he was drinking/partying too much, but this pretty much says it all...........

I've got the BJ Behind The Music, and there is actually quite a few similiarities to Journey's BTM. They obviously made different decisions though when Jon had his "had enough/burned out". Could be why they are still here today. :?

according the way I THINK it was BTM spun it Alec Jon Such was becoming the Steve Adler (of GNR fame) of bassists.
