One of the most overrated acts/artists of all-time...along with The Beatles, The Who, Dave Mathews, and Bruce Springsteen.

Idiot. You are nothing but a complete moron with this post. You cannot even defend this.

I was going to go on and say yeah, who wants to see an elderly woman and an overweight Kevin Chalfant on guitar, then you go on and disrespect probably the greatest band of all time(Beatles), and possibly the greatest American rocker ever(Bruce). You embarrassed yourself here dude.

Dave Mathews, ok.

The others have earned their place.

Who do you think isn't overrated?

I didn't "disrespect" the Beatles by any means. They accomplished that by themselves by wandering around tripping on LSD, writing drug induced, moronic songs like "Yellow Submarine", marrying Yoko Ono, marrying a gold digger with one leg, and selling your songs to a pedophile like Michael Jackson.
As for Springsteen, I find it hard to like a guy that doesn't wash his clothes, sounds like he's constipated while he's singing and puts his ass on one of his album covers. That dude is a hack...an American "novelty." A guy that the everyday Joe, who is basically JUST as talented vocally as him can relate to and like. I find his music boring and uninspiring. He has the range of Cecil Fielder.

Judging by Springsteen's new single, the fire is still there big time - between Zep coming back, Springsteen about to be all over the air waves and the Eagles coming back, there is a wave coming, pity Journey won't be able to ride it - they could have if they had kept JSS...........

This has to be one of the "most brain-dead statements" I have ever heard.

Led Zep is absolutely the most unique/powerful/creative classic rock band in history...... enough said!

Overrated? Zeppelin?? One of the most influential rock groups of all time, overrated?? I can honestly say I'm speechless. It's one thing to not be into them, but to call them overrated is just silly. I mean I'm not personally into Jimmy Hendrix, but I would never call him overrated, you know?

And the Beetles too? John, you're in danger of losing your sainthood my friend. :D

St John has lost his way in this thread. He cannot spin his way out of this one.

Led Zeppelin, who I could do without, influenced so many bands, Journey being one of them. Then your boy, Chalfant, likened Journey to the "American Beatles."

For you to bring up drug use as one of the only reasons people like the Beatles is comical. Led Zeppelin, Aerosmith, The Who, The Stones, Styx, Foreigner, and yes, your beloved Journey, all have a drug presence. They all have fans who did/done/do drugs and the band members themselves have all participated in recreational drugs. I fucking hate Zeppelin, but you need to give them props....it was your blind moronic statement on Springsteen which makes you an idiot. Boring? Yeah, the greatest singer/songwriter of all time has boring music  Let's see...take Perry's lyrics and put them up against Bruce's and there is a huge difference in quality.

Dude, throw up the white flag now and take your assbeating, or continue on and get slaughtered

Christ, if you posted a thread on all the great/large rock bands with a drug presence - you would be here all night - even Fleetwood Mac (the softest rock band ever) were taking mountains of Coke/Booze/Pot etc
There are bands we do not like but you cannot deny their influence- i can do without the Beatles but i understand the fuss about them.....Now Lennon solo, thats a different proposition......
