Higher Place sucks. It's like complementing a midget for being tall. Get real...that song blows.

You're in the minority pal, its a brilliant track

I'm in the minority here only. I've heard it played several times at shows and maybe a few hundred out of anywhere from 5-8 thousand even knew the words. I'm not in the minority, asswipe.

Just because the majority of people there didn't know the words, doesn't mean that they didn't like the song. If they booed the song, you'd have a point. Most fans at a Journey show aren't going to recognize the new songs, regardless of how good they are.

Boo? Are you serious? People don't boo songs they don't like. They show their disinterest by NOT singing them...a category Higher Place definitely falls under. People knew the song, they justy didn't care for it.

Fuck you, you opinionated ego-inflated, self-satisfied smug wanker. There, how's that? Try being a little less abrasive and offensive and people may take your opinions more seriously. You don't have to try and sound like Deano all of the time - at least his rants have a poetic lilt about them?

Higher Place is possibly the one track that most Augeri-era fans would like to have heard 'live'. Certainly for the UK dates.

Nice to see that you have balls. Getting hit by your purse was becoming old hat. Anyway, if HP is put back in the set list, make sure you memorize the opening chords so you can be at the head of the rush to the bathroom/beer stand.

Higher Place is a WONDERFUL song, I never get tired of listening to it! This song has actually brought new fans to Journey that only remember the classic stuff. They hear it at my house and always wanna know what CD this is on. Two of my buddies just bought Arrival off of amazon.

I’m sure it’s not for everyone, but it’s my favorite of the Augeri era songs.
Killer, killer drums. Killer guitar ending. And I’m not a huge A fan, but great vocals on this one, imo…

The Time is a masterpiece.

The greatest guitar Neal has committed to record.

Yes, totally serious. I've heard it happen. Back when they were still doing "Higher Place", a majority of the crowd didn't even know the song, so don't try to tell me that they did and just didn't care for it.

One minor quibble: St John is one of the top comedians and satirists on the site. Yes, he probably raises Andrew's blood pressure a notch or two each week but his material is first rate and though we've seen many a Deano wannabe come and go, SJ is not one them. He's the real deal.

Know how every few months we're forced to have a TNC homage thread, since he remains frustratingly low-key now?

Soon Juanno is going to rack up enough insultingly sophomoric lewd SCUDS to have his first tribute thread. :)

Mmmm... I dunno, TNC has a way with words like no one I have ever seen. Like watching Jordan against the Jazz. Even with a 103 degree fever, the dude can score 38 on you.

I'm not doing that one...The one with TNC took too much out of me.
