Romanian, seriously, posting that article was NOT a problem. This **** wants trouble, that's exactly what she shall receive.
Interfering with commerce, which is exactly what Andrew's concert is, is illegal. Andrew, you mustn't pay lip service. Strike this demon down, and let us all pile on.
Andrew version of the incident was: "This insane lunatic is e-mailing the venue and press outlets that are lined up to promote my event calling on them to boycott the event and boycott all promotion of this event due to racism on THIS message board and citing as an example that half-assed Pilipino (sic) blog article of last week."
If the person made up things, that is one thing, but if as is suggested by Andrew's representation, someone pointed out actual incidents that occurred on MR to the above sources, there is nothing remotely illegal about that. I would expect the person behind tapegate to understand that concept. I doubt Andrew has filed suit against the original internet site that put up the article suggesting racism, because there is no grounds for a suit. Like it or not, a website owner/operator is going to be responsible for what goes on via the site he creates.
It's a little over-the-top to take the time to contact venues, etc. but people get excited about racism. There is an endless list of people who fell from grace due the taint of racism; Don Imus, is the most recent one that comes to mind--a phrase was his downfall.
If I was promoting Andrew's event and I'd received e-mails suggesting the MR site was questionable, I would at least monitor it. Although threats seems to be your main reaction to most things, now is probably not the time for threats to be going out.
