How does it feel to know that you fucked up royally? How does it feel to have most of your fanbase actually HATE you?

The thing is, most of the fan base doesn't even know what the Hell happened.

Look, I was in a position last year when I had some pretty good access to Neal and the band, and I have to tell you, it was fucking great. Neal is the coolest guy on the planet, when he is on your side and vice versa, and it would kill me to see people bash him for the sake of bashing him. I was able to things with him and two other band members that few have been able to do, and I will always remember that. However, I must say that it has all been tarnished because of the way Jeff was treated and how it played out.

Honestly, I do not think there would have been a problem at all, had Neal just called Jeff and spoke his mind, whatever the reason, we would still rally around Journey and I know Jeff would be ok with that, had they just told him. Hell, I had told Neal, under the LocknLoad alias, in fact begged him, to make the call dude, for I personally don't think it's too late to repair the ship.

Someone the other day, forgive my forgetfulness, said the reason most of us here are bitter, is the fact that they have met Jeff and have seen what a quality human being he is, and that is the reason for the disdain. I second that fully.

Sorry for the rant, but I felt compelled to chime in. For those of you who blame me for this Board's downfall or even the downfall of Journey, I gotta tell you, it's amusing to think that a guy with some bootlegs and a memorized ear for a certain DVD release, was able to affect a major change in a once great band. Well, I also find it funny that the very same people today who despise me, were sending me "Go Dean" or "Trash em Deano" emails once TG was in category 5 mode. I say fuck you to all those Perry obsessed Loons who are so centre minded that they can't see their own shadows.

PS- I personally think calling Neal dwarf names is a bit childish. That dude can flatout play....He is a musical genius. Do you folks know Schon can't even read music? My point is, like Carol said, question his character, but not his talents. Now Friga, she is a different book. Take a piss all over her if you want.

I look forward to the tirade you got coming. That alone does not change my recent feelings about the loss of luster or spark that was once here. There isn't anyone or anything from Journey or the fandom remotely fun to beat on. No newbies trying to rehash old wounds needing a verbal beating, no idiots like Manarocks, that Venezuelan guy, Reardon, or any of them left. It's actually kind of boring rehashing the same old I hate the GOP or I hate the Dems shit day in and day out. Deano, respectfully, I think Neal's character is really what everything is born out of. Fuck man...as a guitarist, I worship the man...he's gifted beyond anything I could ever dream of becoming as a guitarist. However, it's hard for me seperate that these days, when he literally fucks up everything he gets involved in. I've seen him be an utter douchebag and I've seen him be utterly cool to fans. I'm sure you have as well, more so than most (including myself) over the past 4 years.

This is very well said. If I made add fans from this board invested thier time and $$ into this band last year once JSS jumped in. The people on this board were excited over the band as the reviews kept pouring in, we all waited for Andrews big Journey feature,and we invested more of our time..or should I say Precious Time. When you mess with peoples invested time I think that really cuts deep. We as fans were lead in one direction and next think you now we were all blindsided ( JSS included). We all thought the bans was going in one direction and next thing you know its going the other way. Which way its going know we don't know !!

actually, Jonathan is a very gifted performer and song writer, being degreed as such from a music conservatory. Chicago I think? not my style, however, but that doesn't diminish his level of talent. He brought Journey into the pop forum and I have never quite come on board with that. OPEN ARMS---uh, no. miles and miles away from Kohutek. I was hoping beyond hope that Jeff could take Journey back to where it belongs--rockin hard. That is no secret, I'm sure you all know that about me.
