By the way, regarding rankings...
I have said this for 5 years.
There is NO reason to rank teams before the season starts.
Wait until the 6th week of the season. Let things play out. This proves two good reasons.
1- Teams will be forced to play tough OOC games, to ensure that when the rankings do come out, voters have some substance to look at.
2- Teams that are good, but do not have the name recognition (example: the Wash State teams that were very good 4 yrs ago vs the Michigan teams of today), have a chance to win something. If you start unranked, yet go 11-1, you are assured of nothing, whereas a shit team like Michigan or Notre dame, who have name recognition, can be very average and start ranked, get through some decent teams, buy time, and end up in big bowls. That's the Lloyd Carr way. Well, Lloyd got exposed didn't he?
