It's not over til its over...

There's always tomorrow
& hope springs eternal
in the heart of the dreamer
May he wake to the sounds
of loves endless symphony

Perry is the only person who could redeem this band. No brainer.

No tour, just a studio album with Perry and the trickery of the studio if he's concerned about his voice. Not a new album with somebody else.

And they could publicly ask SP to come back to the band, not in the smart-ass way that NS did it at the WOF, but in a sincere, respectful manner. AND... give a public apology to SA and JSS. Oh yeah, and since we don't think JSS or SP would ever re-join, they could hire Jeremey. Do all those things, and I'm back.

In all fairness, I'm not sure Neal meant to sound like a smart ass. Face it, he probably sounds like a smart ass when he's reading a grocery list, and public speaking isn't exactly his forte. The apology to SA and JSS would be nice though. That and new music, and oh yeah, a singer and I might be interested in seeing what happens.

Why do you think that, Dean? After all the shit that went down, I would think they would stay well away from Journey.

I think it would be considered more sincere of Neal & Jon to both reach out and write a letter to Perry asking him to meet with them in private to discuss Journey & past issues between them, than to do it publicly. No media involved at all!

After all, they ALL have to be able to talk to each other in person, before they can even consider being in a band together. That's my thoughts anyways.

Dan, you would be such a good catch because you stick through thick and thin!! Plus, you're fun--somebody out there needs to grab you!! (I am not being sarcastic, I am being totally serious.)

Plus, Dean, your post re: Neal made me happy--made my day...

Ya know, if NS asked me to join to band and just lip everything, I would in a heartbeat. He could fire me two weeks later and I wouldn't care. Having that band's name on my resume and getting that paycheck would be absolutely fantastic. JSS threw away Talisman for an entire year just to get on the tour. Perry still rides the legacy Journey train...all the way to the bank. They make gobs of cash every single day, anyone should want to take the job.

And don't give me all that $hit about respect & class & whatever. We'd all give our left nut if offered the job.

What he said. Perry along with Rollie.

HERBERT

The above two people need to be involved with Journey for me to even remotely give a shit again....and we all know the likelihood of Perry getting involved again is so slim, I'd stand a better chance at putting money down on the Chicago Cubs to win the world series...

Combine that with the likelihood that Herbert would reinvolve himself, with Perry also in the mix....and the chance is so miniscule, that we'd stand a better chance at our sun going supernova in the next ten minutes.......

This scenario would be a dream come true. I just wish all parties...Perry, Schon, Friga and Herbert would stop for a minute and realize that somewhere between tomorrow and 25 years from now they're all gonna be in a pine box 6 feet under and none of this trivial bullshit they're fighting over and not speaking to each other for is going to matter. Nor will "legacies" or anything else they're worried about. It's funny how the fans keep buying up the same repackaged shit time and again, but they can't get together and give us what EVERYONE wants....a FINAL tour. And because of silly fucking gag orders, we don't even know why. Suppressing the truth from your fans probably isn't a good thing. Yet I'm fairly certain that if they released 10 never heard before tracks with Perry from the Escape era I'd be the first asshole in line to buy them. I'm starting to think that we're the dumbfucks, not them. :?

WTH! Why do you say that? I thought as of late you've maintained that Perry was done. Why the change?

I could care less how tall Neal is. It's just that every time he gets something cool going he just poops all over it.

Yeah Neal kicks ass on guitar. But the only way to experience it anymore, is through greatest hits tours. No thanx.

No...but I do have a flex capacitor hanging around. GREAT SCOTT DEAN-O!

Speaking of Back to the Future...do you realize that the movie is almost as old now as the time they traveled back in time? 1985 to 1955. The movie is 22 years old already!
