I really hope that Ms. Spears does NOT make a fool out of herself, since tomorrow night will be LIVE....
But at the same time, this girl's WHOLE CAREER was built around an EFFING FANTASY of a "little hot Chick" who can basically carry a tune...and dance very well.
....SEE WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOUR WHOLE CAREER IS BUILT AROUND FRAUD???!!!!
This girl now has to redeem herself....but she really never did anything BY or FOR herself....IMO, the REAL "Britney" is out now....no WAY you can re-bag the Cat into the Bag....
She should release a Punk album, or something...she's SOO ANGRY now....

LAS VEGAS — Somewhere, Kevin Federline is laughing. An out-of-shape, out-of-touch Britney Spears delivered what was destined to be the most talked about performance of the MTV Video Music Awards — but for all the wrong reasons.
Kicking off the show Sunday night with her new single, "Gimme More," Spears looked bleary and unprepared, much like her recent tabloid exploits on the streets of Los Angeles. She walked through her dance moves with little enthusiasm. It appeared she had forgotten the entire art of lip-synching. And, perhaps most unforgivable given her once-taut frame, she looked embarrassingly out of shape.
Even the celebrity-studded audience seemed bewildered. 50 Cent looked at Spears with a confused expression; Diddy, her new best friend, was expressionless.
Some comeback.

He (DJ) said he got it off TMZ, though I've yet to find the link there. It seems that Twitney overheard Sarah Silverman practicing her routine shortly before the show started. And asked her, and the MTV people to not allow SS to "trash her kids" in the routine. Seems they all told her "tough shit" and Twitney was extremely upset. To the point of her trying to walk out. They ( supposedly) had to drag her back and make her perform.
Which- if it IS true- could explain the lack-luster performance. Or then again, she could just suck

Hmmmm a different angle, thanks for posting about it.
I think I just vomited in my mouth, Bob. This is the worst thing I've ever
seen. My girlfriend calls me up as Britney's getting on to perform and I think
I laughed so loud the other side of our duplex heard me. I've never seen a
performance so bad that I actually felt bad for someone before, but this girl
made it happen. The whole thing looked like a high school talent show. The
dancing was boring, the music terrible and there was no way in hell she honestly
thought she looked good up there wearing whatever she was. I remember being a
teenager and being wooed by her sex appeal, but this really made me want to
puke.
On top of that, the whole show is a laughing stock. Technical problems, boring
guest speakers (what the hell was up with Alicia Keyes?) and the worst comedian
in the history of comedy as host, Sarah Silverman. Not only can you understand
why the music industry sucks so much, but you really feel bad for it. If this is
representative of my generation's music, I don't want anything to do with it.
Give me the 60's, 70's or the 80's over any of this crap. I keep trying to think
about who I'll be able to tell my kids about later in life, but there really
isn't a single one that lives up to anything my parents and older brothers ever
told me about.
Please save me, Bob.

I agree with that. Bring back the 70's and/or 80's. Everything went to hell when Nirvana hit it big.
