Dudes.

That has been Journey for a DECADE or more...ever since SP stopped working with them.

It's OVER.

I LOVE state fairs. I'd be happier than a sissy with an ass full of dick if they played the Illinois state fair next year (assuming they have a singer by then).

ahahahahaha. Funny thread...

You GOTTA wonder what Journey's thinking reading this stuff.
NO. He's NOT Steve F'ing Perry. But he's Arnel F'ing Pineda and I'm okay with that.

Why should we care what they think Bry? They obviously could give a rat's ass about our opinions.

Now I'm off to the carousel. Free ticket included with the five star package!

Braiding each other's hair, talking about cute boys, playing duck-duck-goose, and watching "R" rated movies hoping the grown-ups don't find out.

I actually saw Def Leppard at the Michigan State Fair 1999 on the Euphoria tour.

It may have been kind of a shitty gig on the surface, but I'm willing to bet there were at least twice as many people that saw them kick ass that night than had they done a show at a regular venue.

They had reserved tickets in front of the stage for $19...imagine seeing DefLep for $19 from the 4th row. At that price, I really expected them to come out and basically play Vault straight through plus one or two Euphoria tunes, but they did about 2 hours and 20 minutes including 2 encores. Best $19 I ever spent.

Oh, I don't care what they think. But it would be interesting to be a fly on the wall when Neal and Jon are huddled around their 14" monitor hooked up to their Commodore 64 in the dark reading Melodic Rock. Remember, only a few geeks use the internet and so Jon and Neal, being SO cool haven't kept up with the technology like us geeks here have.

JON: Hey Bro, let's look at Melodic Rock!
NEAL: Okay. Hey, does this TV get Speed Racer?
JON: No Neal, that's a "Com-put-er". Can you say that word?
NEAL: "Com..." what? Oh, yeah, "Com-pact-er". How come the words are just green?
JON: Because it's the web and it's in colour, isn't it NEAT?
NEAL: Wow, yeah. Can I have a bowl of Lucky Charms?
JON: Sure Neal, but the prize in the box is mine.
NEAL: You got it LAST time!
JON: You just don't understand me and how sensitive I am... (*sniff*) FINE! You keep it. The next one's mine!
NEAL: Hey, after we read Melodic Rock, we should give Prank Phone calls to Perry!
JON: AWESOME DUDE!!!!! WHOOHOOO!!!!
NEAL: Geez, these guys on Melodic Rock sure hate Augeri. That's okay, me too. He was always taller than me on stage. I hate that guy. He couldn't even do 15 shows in a row!
JON: Look what they say about Jeff! Man, they liked him. I sure didn't. His hair was always messy and his jeans were always torn. Who did he think he was Kirk Crobrane?? Geez.
NEAL: Wow, they all liked him.... Can we watch Speed Racer now?
JON: I thought you wanted to Prank Perry!?
NEAL: OH YEAH! I forgot! Look here, what does "M-I-D-G-E-T" mean??
JON: I have no idea. I think it's a type of MP7 player.
NEAL: Oh, okay. People are saying I'm one of those. I don't get it.
JON: Me Neither...
NEAL: Hand me the phone! (Dials.... phone ringing is heard)
STEVE PERRY (cautiously): "......Hello?"
NEAL: *snigger*...*giggle*...*laughs* and hangs up.
JON: GAWD YOU'RE A WUS!!!
NEAL: I TRIED, but I laughed!
JON: What? No, I was reading a Melodic Rock Post...
NEAL: Turn it to Speed Racer!

fade out....
