Great find! Soundcheck stuff is always interesting.

Be even better if someone took the time to video distort Frig and Fro's heads so I wouldn't have to look at those jackasses.

How does a band name someone the official singer then a few months later (minus time for the holidays), change its mind?

Ya know....that's hard to watch. I still don't get why they screwed Soto. He's the only singer since Perry that's had the power to pull off any of those songs live.

I'd like to dedicate this song to Neal and Jon.

And thanks for that gem, Deano. I will never forget our weekend in AC. I remember being amazed at how lucky Journey was to have a talent like JSS.

Definately great find, thanks Dean.

Damn, cuts out right before Be Good To Yourself. I know some people don't like Dead or Alive, but it's always been a fave of mine, JSS or Perry! I think I miss the interaction between Deen and JSS the most, liked how JSS would always go up and play around with Deen on DOA. :(

Good call, Niggy!

Great job Deano! Awesome songs as well!!! I saw them here in Columbia SC last year, and got to meet Neal and Jeff back stage. They were very cool to hang out with! I thought they were both very approachable. I wonder what an album might have sounded like with Jeff at the helm? I guess we'll never know! I really wish they would've played "people, places". That's one of my favorites. Hopefully we'll hear omething about their current singer soon, because personally I think the fans are long overdue for some answers! I've defended them from the beginning, but with what has gone on in the last few months, I have to say...They're loosing one of their biggest fans!

I understand that maybe it was the management that kept Neal and John from breaking the news to Jeff, but as a decent human being...If you knew he was getting canned, all it took was a simple phone call saying something like-"Look man, it's just not working out with you and the band, and we've decided to find someone with the signature sound, or personality we were looking for". That's pretty damn simple where I come from!!!

I'm sorry, but I've got to rant for 2 seconds here, then I'm done... How do you pronounce someone as the lead singer to replace someone that was lip-sinking (and I have absolutely no doubt as a musician that Neal and John knew about it-if not demanded it to tour), just to forget he ever existed after he got them through the concert? The way he found out (to me) was completely unacceptable to me as a fan, and no matter the circumstances, was bullshit!!! I also feel bad for Augerie who I saw 4 or 5 times with the band! I think he did an amazing job with the band, and brought it out of retirement. Once his voice started slipping, they could've tuned down a half-step or even a full step! This would've helped him out a lot! Instead, I'm sure they told him to get out there and lip (the parts he couldn't cover), or he'd be replaced.

How considerate of the band to act like they had no knowledge of his actions, and to fire him with no notice??? Just to replace him with someone else for a tour, then cast him aside...That's fucked-up!!! (Pardon my French, but I'm getting pissed off here!).

As far as who's got the gig...who knows? I thought I knew at one point, but as a former member of Frontiers, I'm more out of the loop than most of you! Is it Jeremey, or Arnel? I have no clue. I thought I was friends with the band (As I helped them out of a similar situation like Jeff on short notice), but I am "out of the loop". My situation's different, as I left the band on my own, but Jeremey hasn't returned my calls or emails in months. I understand that Journey may be keeping everyone involved quite but I'm left to assume that our friendship is over at this point. I have great memories of my time with the band, and still talk to a couple of members every week or so. I guess any news I hear, will be here with the rest of you (if I'm still checking out the shambles that's left of our beloved Journey forum).

I appologize for rambling on here, but just finally had to say something! Sorry if I stepped on any toes tonight, but just feel disgusted with what's been going on!

Peace out!

Jim

One of my fave's too. That must be a bastard to play live. I saw them do it on a video from Japan, and it was excellent.
