San Francisco was the place back then for the music...and, the hippies.
We wore love beads, fringe on our clothes, peace signs...the poster "make love, not war" was hanging in our bedroom...one of our hippie boarders convinced my mom to smoke a joint...she said it didn't do anything...lol.
The music seemed cooler than when I see these crazy videos...such as: http://youtube.com/watch?v=XSV1URdtgTc

I lived across the bay from San Francisco, and also in Berkeley, were hippies too. They were everywhere!
Now here is a song that was for its time, the longest song. Here the video is in two parts.........

Oh hell yeah, loved these guys. Their harmony was incredible. They look like they'r lip synching in that video(especially Cory), but I saw them live in Omaha in 1968 and they sounded just as good live as they did on the records. What happened to Chuck is so sad.

On brighter side, I have heard Chuck is out singing again.![]()

Yup, definitely lipping in that one. Even they're laughing about it!
Chuck was always my favorite:

Chuck absolutely had the best voice, but for some reason that I can't explain, Cory was my favorite.
