Well, at the risk of Deano's wrath, I have to say I can hit them. When I'm warmed up, and in good voice, I can sing "Sweet And Simple", and the highest note is in head voice/falsetto mix thing that Perry learned to use perfectly and with power. Most of the time a falsetto doesn't have power. It's almost like a "whistle range", which if you don't know what that is, think Mariah Carey's highest notes.

I'm listening right now just to make sure.

Yep, head voice and I can hit them.

I sing full voice almost all the time, rarely do I use falsetto, but head voice is essential for singers, especially tenors.

You can hear samples of me singing on MYSPACE.

I'm the BEST singer on this Board, bar none. Fuck Jeremey and Fuck JSS too  When I get an 18 pack into me, about 5 vicodins, and some Purified flouride water, I hop in the shower, sing, and put Steve Perry to shame as well.

People, like Rick said, post yourself singing. I want the entire song tho, bot just the 4 second clip.

What he said! If you've got pipes, post them. You probably sound like my cat when I accidentally step on his tail. ;)

Yes. That was only a few months ago. He's 15 and he's about 6'3". Quite the stud! He sings in the church and school choirs.

There was guy a while back. He was the lead singer of a band called Steelheart. I heard he got hit in the head with a stage light and lost his voice? I don't know about now, but back in the day he probably could.

Marieh Carey could hit them notes, in fact the highest notes in that song reminds me of her what she does.Perry had total control of his voice back then, and a unbeleivable range

Who can hit the high notes on Sweet and Simple.

She can.....  :P

Had a giggle at how she jokingly calls Jeff a bastard for not getting off the tour bus to meet the fans. LMAO, the most fan-friendly one of the bunch.

Think Sweet and Simple is tough, Somethin' to Hide is harder. I believe Perry hit the highest note ever recorded in rock n roll, or some shit like that.

Just curious, where did you get this info from? You, of all people, wouldn't post a comment like this without proof or listing your source, would you? :?

There are a few singers from the 60's that come to mind who could hit the high notes - Roy Orbison, Frankie Valli. They didn't have the range of Perry, but they could get up there.

When you're done ripping me a new one, take a few seconds and look at this link. No mention of Perry anywhere.

Don't get me wrong - Perry's my boy. But it was his range that set him apart from others who could hit the high notes.

No mention of Perry anywhere because those people are fucking retards. You can tell by the artist they are pimping they dislike Journey music. Also, Somethin' to Hide isn't exactly a "stand the test of time song"..

Sorry, but I can hit the highs on both songs.

Dude, I thought about how to respond here, and after seeing your post count at a staggering 12, I decided on this:

You are full of shit, you fuckass. You can hit those notes..oh ok Fuck, call Neal up and tell him how outstanding you are. Dickhole

I can hit those notes without warming up. I have a five octave range, two in falsetto and sing bass, as well. My range is not the point. The point is, there are plenty of people who can sing higher than Perry. There are people who can sing higher AND lower than Perry. Get a clue. And who the heck cares if I've only posted 12 times! How immature is that? I have been on this board since it started. Just because I rarely choose to post doesn't mean a stinking thing. Funny, everytime I post on the Journey board you, Deano, are the first to respond - with a slam. You are such a piece of crap. Crawl back in your anal hole and quit being such a 'roid...
